Was at the beach this weekend soaking up sunshine and taking in the breeze from the lake . I’m so ready for summer to get here.  Sunnies are the best accessory a girl can have, after sunscreen. I recently picked out three styles that I totally love: cat eye, high fashion, and vintage feel. They were gifts, thanks Lumette and Clearly Contacts.   Took these photos yesterday, enjoy! Derek Cardigan Sun 7005 – Brown Tortoiseshell – $59.00 Cat eye is so hot right now. I love pin-up girl style, they remind me of the 60’s. A fav style of Nicole Richie and designs by Tom Ford. These ones are designed by Derek Cardigan from Vancouver, I interviewed him a couple weeks ago. Lumette, Vedrina – Storm Cloud – $220.00 Based in NY, Lumete is a fav of  Dita Von Teese. Sunglasses are handmade and the lenses are hard coated CR39 to avoid scratches. The hard clutch case is shaped like a butterfly.  These ones are so beautiful & stylish. Perry Ellis Demi Blonde – $135.00  These ones remind me of a vintage pair of Ferrari glasses I had years ago.  They’re a  an aviator shape with greenish grey lenses. Frame is  tortoise acetate and matte gold metal. Top – Audrey from Bicyclette, Jeans – Cheap Monday from Peacock Parade, Converse ‘Dainty’ in Banana ♥ Make love, not war ♥

Carnegie Hall Show at Second City

Last night a friend and I caught The National Theatre of The World’s monthly presentation of the Carnegie Hall show. It was funny. The only non-funny part was when I yelled out Carly Rae Jepson when they asked for a name but they didn’t get it.The potential for LOLs was there! They had it! I love the B&W photos of all the comedians who’ve been part of Second City over the years. John Candy was my fav, what a great Canadian. The show is made of working comedians, MATT BARAM (Second City), CHRIS GIBBS (The British one), RONALD PEDERSON (Mad TV), and NAOMI SNIECKUS (Mr. D, Second City). They’re Canadian Comedy Award winners for Best Improv Troupe three years running. Way to go guys! Notice my name? Let me remind you the entire world, It’s Casie not Cassie. I made a cartoon about it once, remember? Thanks heaps for great seats. We had a fun time and lots of laughs. I was totally into the acrobatics show in the cube. It’s seriously hard to sneak away and spend time with computer! Things are going great. Met so many wonderful people. Wore this super cute new shirt from Billabong yesterday with banana yellow Converse. I wish I had a bike to get around in. I want to drive down in a camper van next year. It’s not like this is impossible, as I know quite a few people who go on road trips and camping trips in a camper and it seems like it is so much easier for them. So if you’re thinking to buy camper trailers in Adelaide (location varies depending on where you live), then be sure to do your research before making a decision. I also would like to go to Burning Man one day. I was digging this style of showing off your product. Bikes & babes, nice one guys. I love cruising the conference floor for a lap each day. Had some bevvys with Team New Zealand from Sydney’s TBWA office. Good people. Super fun! Lauren was wearing all new Billabong too. I really want new tattoos. Everyone here has tattoos. Sometimes I don’t feel like it. #5

Blogging is a weird and wonderful thing. I love it but just like everyone else, sometimes I don’t feel like going to work. I’ve been sitting in front of my computer, watching a movie, editing photos iPhone for upcoming posts. I made jello earlier. I have lots of things I want to write about but, sometimes I don’t feel like it. Sometimes my mind is distracted and floats into an ocean of ideas, it takes a vacation. I keep gazing out the window and watching the lake.   It’s very peaceful out there today. I need to catch up on sleep this weekend. I’ve been going non-stop for days, months and it’s only beginning to sink in that SXSW is next week, then Fashion Week, then Canadian Club secret adventure, Canadian Music Week, and then, and then, and then. NO MORE AND THEN. I get anxiety thinking about all the people, events, travel, everything.  Had some of the jello, it’s strawberry & delicious. This is a good song. This weekend is break time. I need to tidy up and pack for our drive across America. I’m watching this movie called ‘Cyber Bully’ and it makes me sick/sad hearing this girls story. I can only imagine what it’s like for kids in school these days. (Am I old now for saying that?) I had a hard enough time in high school and there wasn’t Facebook, Twitter or blogs. Her ‘friend’ created a profile of a cute boy who made friends with her and then spread rumors and basically ruined her reputation which leads the girl to attempt suicide. Having a jealous friend is the worst, worst, worst. If you have one, beware. They’re toxic to keep around, better to ditch ’em.  I learned that lesson the hard way. I think it’s time for a nap. This post if full of things that add glitter to my life. Thought I’d share with ya. Bangs from Doll Bar, Olympus PEN, vintage hats. I’ve been trying a new routine of going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. Once you get outta bed, you can really accomplish heaps before the day really started. That’s my September goal: do more before 10am than most people do in a whole day. My October goal is: go to England or New Zealand. Settin’ em high. YES WE CAN. Sprocket Rocket camera from Lomography. I’ve got heaps of film because, frankly, I’m not that good at using the camera so I need to take heaps of shots before I can be considered good. Analogue is haaaarrrrrrd. New duvet cover is the alphabet, say hello to my ALPHA bed. See what I did there? Oh yeah, creative play on words. New flowery pillow looks painted and that eye mask is from Keri. I sleep with an eye mask pretty much every night. I live in a glass box, it’s SO SUPER sunny in the AM! Although, getting to sleep is never a problem thanks to my new memory foam mattress. According to bestmattress-reviews, there are a number of quality options at a lower price than you’d think. Gadget love: iPad (Andy), Macbook Air (James Dean), Android (Motorola DEFY), Logitech wireless mouse. I spend most the day with these guys. Ok, here’s something really amazing….you won’t BELIVE how tall I am with these legendary things strapped on. Aren’t they beautiful? They’re Jeffrey Campbell and I ordered them online at Solestruck. They’re like stilts. Move over Buskerfest. Comfy and good for walking. Film Fest, I am ready for you with my giant shoes. I’ve been using Mereadesso cleanser w/ face & neck toning gel and…

better act now before life passes you by!

Went for a short cruise this morning. Wanted to feel the cool air on my face, in my hair. I’ve got a full day of creative writing ahead of me. New project with client is very fun. You’ll know about it soon when the site launches. 😉 Watch & overalls are my fav things right now. Watch Hamilton (Swatch), overalls H&M. Cleaned my room and have about $500 in gift cards for Holts, West 49 (Billabong new stuff is rad) and Gaffas (new glasses!). Stoked to take myself out for some BTS shopping. Been though a bunch of this exact same Converse model the last few years. Comfy & cute. Got these fresh new ones last week. Will not wear them to a concert or festival. We all know what happened last time at Beerfest. Remember Exhibit Ikea? I told you to go the other day. They are tearing it down right now. Can’t imagine how much dosh they put into renovating that space for a four day gallery showing. It was beautiful though. I’d like to live there for an art experiment exhibit. My arthritis arm has been killing the last 24 hours so I popped a bunch of these. No, they are not Viagra. Aleve! Had a great call w/ Stephen about our show launching September 8th. Meeting out designers tonight for logo chat. I’m going long boarding tonight too. Preeeetttty stoked. I’ve always wanted to give’er a go. Don’t worry Mum, I’ll wear a helmet and wrist guards. I need my arms to type!
