i’m on tv today. does anyone even watch rogers daytime?

Today I’m on Rogers Daytime (again, HA!) for the Love a Heart Auction for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Show is on at 10am & 3pm. The auction is tonight and it’s gonna be hilariously fun/awesome. The whole group of 20 that are being auctioned off are a hoot; they’re are good looking with a sense of humor. What more can you ask for? Not much. The peeps being featured on ‘daytime’ today are Brock McLaughin and I along with Ally & Shannon who are running the auction/event. Babe #1 Babe #2 I’m stoked to have been chosen, mostly because I’ve wanted to be in an auction since Saved By the Bell/90210. I’m wearing a gorgeous dress made by Kingi at Peach Berserk JUST for this event. Ah, celebrity…..I kid I kid. Did you know that the Peach Pit (aka Peach Berserk) makes custom dresses AND wicked custom prints. You can print a silk with your name/face and make a whole outfit. Not even joking. I am so in love with the shop (hence why I always tell you about it!). Honestly though, I hope one of you reading this thinks “I wanna go on a date with Casie Stewart, I’m gonna make a bid“. I’m super fun to hang out with, you can ask around. Srsly. Oooh BTW, you can also win a bag from Nella Bella and some other stuff. I think there will be lots of babes there. Valentine anyone? social media week has started and i am social me.

Heard some people from Roots Canada talk about social media this morning. It was a great talk for retailers or brands who are just getting into social media. Keri & I didn’t stay too long. I get antsy and have a hard time listening to a topic when I have so much to say about it. Tonight it’s a different story, I get to have a say. I’m in a debate on brands & social media at the Mill Street Brewery. The event is hosted by Wikibrands a book written by my friend Sean Moffit and Mike Dover about “Reinventing Your Company in a Customer-Driven Marketplace”. They like Wordles just like me. Who knew social media would take over in all kinds of industries around the world? It’s amazing. I talking about love brands, social media & the people behind them. This is the second year of Social Media Week & you can see the schedule for Toronto here. This week for me is full of events & people talking about something I love, heaps of familiar faces and lots of new people. Keri & I cruised the downtown underground this afternoon and rode the streetcar. I got a My Little Pony in my Happy Meal at McDonalds too. I’ve been eating way less maccas BTW 🙂 Did you know Toronto’s streetcar system is one of the few in North America still operating along street-running tracks and has been operating since the mid-19th century. when you smile the whole world stops and stares

Sabrina was in NY for a couple days and she brought me back this little special robot guy. So perfect for me. There’s a heart in the other side of the diamonds. Expect to see it in regular rotation. Thanks Beans! I told Sabrina I want to walk to the island when the lake freezes over. She told me that won’t happen and I’m not allowed to anyways. Thanks MOM. I snapped this guy and I’m not even sure what to say about his style and hair. I found it intersting. Fashion district has a pretty mesuring tape on the sidewalk. Had lunch with a friend at Le Gourmand today. I don’t usually share my food but my sandwich was totally delish delish. Chicken curry, yum. Thank goodness for FB, a package was delivered to my old work at CTV and a friend in shipping sent me a wee note. I’m yet to go to the Tim Burton exhibit. Would anyone like to take me? I’m a good date. what’s in the box you ask? One of my darling friends Monika saw I was not feeling better and sent me a whole pack of vitamins from Swiss. A tiny gesture that really brightened my day. Thanks MONIKA! Heading to Blake McGrath’s video shoot uptown right now with my sister. So running behind. Sorry sister. ‘We Live In Public’ makes me feel funny inside.

I can’t stop thinking about this movie. It’s the sharing that sometimes creeps me out. The ‘onlineness’ of my life. That movie got me thinking about privacy and openness. I obviously don’t mind being open and sharing about my life and thought to myself, ‘where do I draw the line?’ Where do you draw the line? Is there even a line? Do I care about a line? I leave out certain things from you, the internet, my friends, things like sex, dating, my family, pretty much any problems I have as well as feelings of sadness/anger. Would I be more real if I shared all that? Am I less real because I don’t? To a bunch of people, I’m a girl from the internet, possibly someone they (you) feel connected to but have never met. On the other hand, there’s many people I’ve met via Twitter who know me, but don’t really know me at all. It boggles my mind when I think about our world sometimes. Everyone is so connected. I feed on connections with people. I need them. I’m sitting at my desk as I write this with a external monitor for my netbook (two screens going) while my iPad is beside me (anbother screen) and my phone beside that (four screens). All have twitter running and multilple email accounts and the second I hear a sound from one of them my attention is captured. Maybe that’s it right there, my attention is captured by the internet, by you. I don’t really know how I feel about the future of the internet but I like it. Even if it makes me feel funny sometimes. Not feeling so awesome today. Have a bit of a cold and my nose is running. Imma get hopped up on meds so it’s hopefully gone by tomorrow. I do not wanna be sick for New Years in Montreal which is going to be totally awesome. Fly out tomorrow afternoon with Raymi & friends and we’re staying at the W Montreal which I am REALLY looking forward to. They have the best beds. Any guesses on how many photos will be taken? Over 1,000 for sure. Need to dump some off my netbook to my TB drive to start fresh Jan. 1, 2011. ok, time to venture outside! aaaaah. I used to love love love love this song so hard.

hello LALA LAND, i’m comin’ w/ my @nellabellabrand!

Was frantic yesterday running around looking for something to wear in Dallas that is ‘Western inspired’. Have no fear, the tickle trunk I like to call my closet room is chalk full of theatricical outfits. Jeans hanging up there are my Shop Girls Yoga Yeans, only jeans I’ve worn since I got them. Really comfy and slimming, this all coming from someone who does not like wearing pants so, I mean serious. Keri also came through with a rodeo shirt that will be perfect. I knew exactly what I was looking for and it was surely not this. Well, in some variation but not together… Before shopping I stopped by to see the lovely Tarek at Nella Bella and look what I got… BTW took the nose ring hoop out (Mum :)) so Dallas and customs don’t think I’m a punk. Shaved head/mohawk style looks kinda punky but the blonde hair is distracting, so… I try to take the safest route and go for cuteness when I visit to the airport. I feel like thatis somehting @barbiestyle (aka Barbie) would say. Haha. I wonder if I will see that one customs guy again? Whoa, tangent. Back to this this lovely HUGE bag, he said I needed this colour for LA. SO true. Thank you! I picked up a couple others that will come out during my travels. One is the famed Nella Bella London bag in red. The small part holds my passport and essentials and the big part fits my iPad (Andy) and netbook (Robert) in it perfectly. The big yellow guy is so handsome. If you ever wonder the white rabbit furry guy is from Ruby Boutique in New Zealand. Ok, flight time. Catch ya on the flip side AKA, in the air on Virgin America!

december beach body countdown has started.

There will be abs. I know I’m small but I am not really that fit. I wanna go away on my vacations next month and feel good. I wanna look at photos and think ‘you look great’ not, ‘detele that one, you look gross’. It happens all the time. Don’t judge me. Ok, think what you want. I tried on my skinny jeans (which by the way are a very unhealthy size) and said if I fit these I have a body image disorder. They don’t fit. When I lived in Australia I came home so skinny, remember Nicole Richie running on the beach, yeah that was me. So gross. I’m getting in shape this time. Ate healthy yesterday and have has breakfast two days in a row. It takes dedication and a bunch of little steps to get results here! I started this blog to keep more memories it used to say “people. places. things. thoughts: in attempt to keep more memories“. If I write things down I’m more likley to make it a reality so that’s what I do. On that note, heading for a brisk walk to Yonge & Dundas Square to catch some pix of the Santa Parade (largest in the world) and ride a mustache (not a real one a skateboard one for Movember!). After that I’ve got a 90 min massage at Ostara Spa. Looking quite forward to everything today! I’m ready for the holidays. Gimme a candy cane.

VIRGIN AMERICA: we’re all winners here

Yesterday I gave away a flight on Virgin America at Finch Station. I let out a few clues via Twitter/Blog and in order to be eligible you had to meet me there with an I LOVE VIRGIN AMERICA sign. I rode the subway playing Angry Birds drinking Vitamin Water hoping like crazy that people were ready to meet me. Imagine if NO ONE was there? Oh man, I’d be mortified. Well, there were a bunch of people and they all had signs! Christine was the first one to spot me on the subway car and I heard her yell “she’s here” which was followed by her running beside the car to the door where I was about to exit. Imagine my surprise when I saw all these beautiful faces! (BTW don’t judge me for the crap photos, returning my camera today as the flash seems to have died. I am a camera killer.) Analog: Digital: In order to make sure the winner was TOTALLY random I was blindfolded with my pashmina and stood in the middle of the group whilst spinning around then stopped and pointed. Not the most advanced method but deff the most tried, trusted and true. The winner was Rochelle Latinsky. Congrats! After the big win some peeps had to go back to work and I took Phil & Tyler to Boston Pizza for a little lunch date. Big thanks to my new bestie Calvin at the Yonge Sheppard Boston Pizza for treating us all. Imma cook up some fun with that guy, he seems to have his finger on the pulse of some neat stuff and it all involves YOU. Yesterday was great. So many great people around this event. HI EVERYONE new I’ve met. Check out my new bestie above Krista who won ANTM. She is hilar. Would be nice if I was smiling!
