Boyfriend Style – Hamilton Watch Skeltonized Caliber

Meet my new partner, Hamilton retro men’s watch. It’s quite sexy. New style in their viewmatic series, officially called “The Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic Skeleton”. Caliber has automatic movement, exclusive to Hamilton and this one is on a leather strap. I love watches as bracelets, I check my phone so often I don’t need a watch to tell time.  About a year ago I had a different, smaller Hamilton Watch, it was on long-term loan. I loved it. Before going to NY last week I stopped by the Swatch Canada head office to pick up two great new watches. This photo reminds me I need new white Converse. Check out all the wicked watch styles from Hamilton here. Have a stellar day! <3 CASIE

Day 622: Morning Light That Shines

Worked from Sean’s office today and it was nice to be back at my desk. I’ve been spending so much time at home I almost forgot what it felt like to ‘go to work’. The morning light that shines in from the south-facing windows is enough to keep me coming back. Drove to Hamilton in the afternoon to pick up our first round of merch for Funday. After months of design meetings and emails, our order was ready and turned out amazing! Needed to get some steps in so I took a long walk after work. It’s really nice to be downtown. Hard to believe I used to go out ALL THE TIME. These days once the sun goes down, I really just want to be home. As the days get shorter, here’s to finding that light in your day!

Here’s a few snaps from the YYZ Magazine Issue 7 launch party last week. See the full gallery here. Above is Editorial Director Lonelle Selbo  with (my man crush) model and man about town, Paul Mason. The digital issue was released mid November and you can find the print version at Chapters and select stores around the city. I wrote about Dundas West in this issue and you can find my photo by George Pimentel on the masthead.  Photocred to Brian Hamilton for the photos in this post. Love this one of me! Thanks Brian. LMK what you of the issue, read it here.

It Helps to Have Good Luggage

We packed up to leave LA with our suitcases in the back seat of the convertible. The sun was shining bright, tanning my shoulders, and I could smell the sweet salt of the ocean as we left Santa Monica. It felt like I was in a movie.

2013 Chevy Camaro Convertable in California

We had so much fun cruising around in the 2013 Chevy Camaro Convertable in California. We randomly decided to get a rental once we got to the hotel and I’m so GLAD they had this. It was $25 more per day than a compact car  from Hertz and so totally worth it! You deff need a car in LA. I can’t imagine being on vacation or living there without a car. I loved hitting the open road and driving to the beach, top down of course. I loved Venice Beach the most. It reminded me so much of where I lived in Bondi Beach in Australia. Did you know that the real Abbot Kinney was a tobacco millionaire who founded it in 1905? Oh the things you learn on Wikipedia.

Country By Day, Downtown by Night

Walked two hours today running into people in the streets between work meetings. I love this city. Amazing how rejuvenated a quick getaway makes you feel. Arroved home to a brand spankin’ new Olympus PEN camera. It’s E-PM1, a mini DSLR style camera. The lenses from my other camera’s fit it and i can’t wait to snap some new shots this week. Sadly it’s time to return my Hamilton watch I had on ong term loan. Glasses are those cat eye ones by Derek Cardigan for Clearly Contacts. Blue bracelet was made by Katiya. Hope your week is off to a great start!
