I think it shows a great sense of pride for the City. Kind of like the statue of “Rocky” does in Philadelphia.

The First is a replica of Joe Louis'. Louis was the world heavyweight boxing champion from 1937 to 1949 and a Detroit native. They also named the Hockey Arena (just down the street from the first) after him.

my dad lives in michigan so i go there a bunch of times..every few months. the reason why the carpets are so trippy is because they make them not attractive on purpose so you don't look down while walking. and they make the roof so ugly so you don't look up while walking. you stare striaght – looking at the games..it's a mind thing. my friend is the gm at that honest lawyers, too.
