His name has been trending all freaking day and every news station as well as Youtube and Ustream broadcasted the apology today. Also Twitter trending is #tigershouldve. What the hell has our world come to? It was if President Obama was making a statement about national security or something. Sheeeeeeeeesh.
Just discovered Caveman Circus today. Awesome does not even describe it. It’s a Men’s entertainment site dedicated to all the things men care to waste time on. Have fun
Tonight MTV is doing web-only LIVE screening of the new movie ‘Turn the Beat Around‘ at 7p EST. You can watch the entire movie and chat LIVE on the MTV Facebook Fan Page. It’s so they can get feedback before it airs on TV later this month. Preeeeety cool. Wonder if we’ll see more movies on FB this year? Seems like a good idea. Gonna check it out tonight.
I’m inviting you to come out and party with me and a whole slew of TO’s coolest, nerdiest, smartest and best looking people who love social media being social. This is the Feb. 2010 edition of #GenyTO and we’ve partnered with #HoHOTO to form #haihaiTO. Gosh darnit, just saying that sounds fun! Lots of people are chatting about it, look right here for proof.
We’re donating proceeds to those poor folks in Haiti. You think the snow here is bad? HA! Imagine your whole house and life in rubble with no place to go. Ya, doesn’t seem so cold out now does it?
HaiHaiTO is TOMORROW, Thursday, February 11 starting at 7 p.m. at the Courthouse, 57 Adelaide Street East. Lets have a fun night and do some good while we’re at it. I’ll be there early, like 7ish. If you’re not in TO but wanna be, buy a ticket just for fun because giving feels so good inside.
I’m going to the TFC game today with a friend. Excited and dressed the part. My friend has a TFC scarf for me so I can really be ‘in’ it. I’ve been once before but this is birthday related which makes it better. I think that H1N1 is a better name for the flu but it also looks like ‘hini’ which sounds like ‘hiney’ which rhymes with swiney which is funny. And the flu was named by the WHO. Make the connection. I did. Stephen Harper called it the Mexican Flu the other day. I LMFAO. Had breakfast at School in Liberty Village. They’re kinda slow and the patio wasn’t open. I like the way it looks there. Very schooley. I was at the CONTACT opening last night. Will post about that later. Have some q&a to finish up.
The sun shining that took place this weekend in the city of Toronto was fantastic. I was filled with fantasies of summer and frolicking in warmth of the sun. I am lucky to be able to see this beautiful sunset from my favorite spot, Balconia (aka. my balcony).
There are now a whole bunch of peeps living in the building next to me. I can see clearly into most of their units as they are very close and live in glass boxes. You can see also…My weekend over all was pretty relaxing. I watched ‘The Rocker‘ and caught a scene with my sister and Teddy Geiger. I also watched The House Bunny and liked it. All cheese but funny.
I’ve been fighting off a cough, cold, runny nose and all that crap all week. Today I feel like I’m getting a little but better, however, I’m totally sick.I’ve taken Buckley capsules, Benelyn, Echinacea, Halls, and lots of water. I’m listening to the new Whitest Boy Alive album called Rules thanks to my friend @EtotheZ. It’s making me feel better. Thank god. I’m always so high energy and warm spirits that being sick really gets me down. Hope to be better for Podcampand the weekend.
Dear Spring, Please get here. I’m tired of the Winter. ♥ Love Casie
I’ve was looking though the Twestival TO photos and noticed a little trend in a few different pictures It is a familiar face I have seen many times before. I reckon you might recognize it as well.
“She was somebody who was a very humble person and a very plain-spoken person,” he said.
“She was one of those quiet heroes that we have all across America. They’re not famous. Their names aren’t in the newspapers,” Obama said.
“But each and every day they work hard. They look after their families.
They sacrifice for their children and their grandchildren. They aren’t seeking the limelight. All they try to do is just do the right thing.
“And in this crowd there are a lot of quiet heroes like that, mothers and fathers, grandparents who have worked hard and sacrificed all their lives,” drawing satisfaction from the hope of a better life for their own offspring.
“That’s what America is about,” Obama exclaimed, his voice rising to a shout as the crowd responded with a roar.
“That’s what we’re fighting for. And North Carolina, in just one more day, we have the opportunity to honour all those quiet heroes all across America and all across North Carolina,” he said.
“We can bring change to America to make sure that their work and their sacrifice is honoured. That’s what we’re fighting for.” From the Sydney Morning Herald
I sat in on a friends class a few years ago at University of Waterloo. I do not remember what she was taking as her major but I have always taken a liking to university classes no mater what genre. The class I attended this particular day was on focused on Shakespeare. It made me think “Shakespeare is fascinating, I want to be fascinating“. I came up with two things inspired by the class. Often, when I am in class, especially when not a registered student, I am inspired by a variety in topics and unexpected ideas of interest.
