check that one of the list.

My first sport bike ride ever. The best part is the outfit. Full story here.

broke back floor whack suprise attack

I had a great time at the Notable party. Red carpet, interviews, familiar faces, drinks, good music.

After that I went to another party and fell 12 feet through a floor and spent the night in the emergency room. It hurts. I’m horizontal and wont be moving for a while. Quite upset about the whole thing.

I could use some drugs and a sandwich. Ok bye.

that was a night and a half, lets do it again!

Whoa. I had the kind of night filled with excitement that less fortunate souls dream of. Kinda feel like I’m still there…

I was gonna tidy/pack while watching television at home alone…UNTIL….

I got a message from the famous Shawn Hawaii inquiring about the Sprout Up. Was I attending? I was now.

Threw on an outfit. (Mum knit the vest in the 1970’s). Jumped on the trolley and headed to meet Hawaii. First stop, Sprouter SproutUp in Yorkville.

If you like being surrounded by smart entrepreneurs and cool people, go next time. You’ll thank me. It’s Oct 14th, second Wednesday. Don’t worry, I’ll remind you.

Second stop was the Globe’s Beatles party at the Berkley Church.  The party was fun and we got a killer giftbag with the new Beatles Blueray disk. I also got flowers. Yeah, awesome!

We cruised to the Annex for a bite and beer and then took it up a notch in the Distillery district.  Belmont cigarettes was throwing an entertainment industry party. Knew about a zillion people and I still have drink tickets in my purse if you want them. Ran into stylish Ms. Sass from Zucket.com among many other notables including PJ Phil!

Belmont has some sexy new skinny cigarettes and I snagged a bunch of packs.  At home I put on my Super Woman costume and danced around. Oh, who , will I be at Twestival on Saturday?? avatars myspace with Gickr

I love special number days.

circling round the buildings like really big eagles

The jets start flying again, its the last time I will hear them for about 36o days. Ate some chips. Oreos. Watching Confessions of  GoGo Dancer, seems it’s pretty easy for a girl to get mixed up in the wrong crowd. The internet addiction centre opened in Washington.

I wrote a long post and it deleted for some reason. I guess that means I should get off the internet and go outside. Been browsing Tumblr while watching cheezy tv all day. Big Daddy is on now. Tit’s McGee, haha. I was browsing some photos, these are all from September’s.

Enjoy your day off everyone. It’s beauty out 🙂

celebrate your economic & social achievements!!

She’s such little darling that Sabrina, after her hair was done she put on a nice dress and went for a stroll. She picked me up a little notebook that reminded her of the Twitter bird, funky pen and a new eyeliner. Made the day even brighter.

Early in the day yesterday I was thinking, I’d like to go to a party.

Like a good ol’ house party with a BBQ, patio, good music and all the shit.

Well, be careful what you wish for, thoughts become things……………

Some of Beans’ friends from uni were having a shindig. There was a brand new deck and was “time to stomp on it” as I was told. Food was cooked on the new BBQ and was delish. THANKS GUYS!

Met a cute girl with the same name. Once in a while I meet a boy Casey or a  dog. Quite rare I reckon. How many do you know?

My blogging friend Muireann Carey-Campbell is heading back to England and having her send off tonight at Czehoski. After that it’s off to the Labour Day Rock Out Party at Tattoo. If you’re around come!

LONG WEEKEND WOOT!

you never met a M.F. quite like me

I wanted to go see Kid Rock over the Killers cause I love his wild-whisky-drinking-country-singing-long-hair-badass style. He was wearing a leather shirt with rhinestones when he started. Serious swooning over here.

We caught about 20 minutes of Lynard Skynard. He has some serious muscles. I’m not sure how old he is buyt from my seat he looked FIT.

The first sound I heard from the stage when K.Rock came on was one of my favorite songs ever. I taped it for you:

More videos are uploading. Will add later.

This one drunk guy said “is this like the good looking girl section”, nice pick up line buddy. ‘We’re all married” I said. There were so many drunken mullets and wire beaters. Good entertainment!

Jenie ran into Kory and Lisa and bunch of other girls I know from back home in Cambridge. We crammed them in our box but then the security girl kicked them out. A few got to stay for the rest of the show. Fun times 🙂

I also got a $50 for Subway which is pretty rad. The Jets are so loud. They keep zipping right above our condo and scaring the bejebas out of me.

Heading to the Lake to read my book and watch them overhead. Have a great day!

Big party at Tattoo Rock Parlor on Sunday night hosted by the Magen Boys.  If you’re in the city on this fine weekend, come. Shawn Hawaii, my boy is DJ and I’ll be cuttin’ a rug on the dance floor! Facebook invite is here.

the last weekend for parties before school

Good afternoon and welcome to the Annual BBQ. We would like to thank you for coming,  have  yourself a great time!

Oh hai there, I am an Impressionist painting. You can see a brilliant mix of colour, an artistic blur. Nice work.

No baseball for me. Bocce Ball. I was blue. Didn’t play a WHOLE game. Short attention span. I’ve got some pretty good skills at the old people sport of lawn bowling though. Why is lawn bowling not more popular? In Bondi, the cool kids would go to the club and drink/play lawn bowling on Sundays – well dressed and so badass.

Preparing for photos, “ok everyone get your drink, fix your shirt, hair etc….”

And a one, and a two, and a one-two-three-POSE!

I took about 15 photos in a row of Beans eating a delicious chocolate brownie. She looked so cute. I thought it would make a funny animated GIF. She did not think it was AS FUNNY as me.

Would you like a drink with your glass?

One of the best things about a work related event it you always know how you’re getting home (to the next party)….TAXI CHIT!!

I braided Sabrina’s hair and she braided the doggy’s. It was cute. Both girls sat there and let their hair get played with. I with my hair was long enough to get braided too.

The weekend has finally arrived and I’m spending the afternoon with my darling sister in the sun.  We’re going to Kid Rock tonight thanks to Subway!! Woot. Have an awesome day! xo

it’s is more fun with moustachio

This time of year is great. I can feel change in the air. I followed my own advice and read my book outside on the grass yesterday.  Sabrina got a set of mustaches and I really think we should wear them at the office party tomorrow.

It seems my bike has been having dates lately…Keri messaged me a photo that my bike was on date,  well, a boys cruiser was parked next to it.  We both had quite a chuckle when the next morning as I was leaving for work, it seemed that the date was not yet over!

In other exciting news on #SpadinaWatch, there’s something coming around the corner………………..LCBO! It’s quite a good idea considering the amount of people populating the small area. I can feel the winter being warmer already!

some kind of wonderful

I can feel my allergies kicking in, been sneezing. The ride in was a fight against the wind pulling my muscles with every push. I wonder what’s for lunch today, something good I hope. The cops are the ones worst for staring at girls on bikes. Yesterday I went on a Geocaching mission with Kelly, first time but not my last time.  Gonna find one of those treasures. Wore those pants today, the ones that fit right out of the wash and stretch throughout the day. Lovely email from a friend this morning. Makes the day shine brighter.

Reminders for the Day:

1) Read your book outisde before too gets too cold.
2) Don’t bore yourself…live,  love,  write,  remember. -> go read this again.
3) You love when the sun shines through the trees and hits the bright green fresh cut grass.

turn upside down and shake the creative salt

This is my favorite quote of the day:

“There’s a lot to be said for not giving two flying fuck’s Mr. Darwin.”

It’s from my book, I’ve been reading Generation A by Douglas Coupland. I like it. It’s interesting.  He Tweets.  I quite enjoyed a this bit of the book today when one of the characters, Zack said “To cope with this realization I chose nature’s ultimate ego-preservation tool: I chose not to give a shit”.

This book had a good story to me before I even cracked the spine. I won’t tell you after I read it. I love this time of year when the seasons change. Magic.

i will not be paid in butter chicken or fancy lunch

It’s a good day. Sun on my face, wind in my hair. The air is cool yet fresh. I feel good. On my way in I was thinking about being social. Last week I was at The League of Kickass Business People at The Social, being social, talking about social media. After that I went to the Refresh Events Summer social.

I could not get ‘social’ out of my head. Social, social social.

Social Media. Social Influence. Social good. They all roll off the tongue and leave you with a feeling of happiness. There is one thing that I’ve been talking about lately with people is – how do you put a price on social media? It’s difficult when it’s all includes user-generated content (UGC) or consumer-generated media (CGM). It’s hard to put a price on something that is hard to define.

Wikipedia says Social media can be said to have three components;

  1. Concept (art, information, or meme).
  2. Media (physical, electronic, or verbal).
  3. Social interface (intimate direct, community engagement, social viral, electronic broadcast or syndication, or other physical media such as print).

I’ve been putting quite a bit of thought into this over the past few months and especially since I saw the social media revolution video. I’m gonna think about it more and come back to it.

In the mean time, do you follow me on Twitter & Facebook?
