I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying.

This is where I live for the next few days. Luxor pyramid. can you believe I (randomly) had an Egyptian cab driver drop me off who wish me well in a language I didn’t understand. You should see how it lights up at night. Disco pyramid! I’ve heard the expression ‘only in Vegas’ a bunch since arriving less than 24 hours ago. I get it now. What a crazy place. Driving the strip last night was surreal after seeing it in movies and on tv my whole life. Hello, hello is anybody out there? Today I’m working from this massive Whole Foods market where they sell everything from booze to Toms and every single type of food. I made myself some pho which was really good but I put in WAY too many onions. Last night I met my friends at the Bellagio where we went to a party at The Bank then Hyde then Spearmint Rhino. Super fun. We had security and a driver, things I could totally get used to. The DJ was THE one and only DJ Jazzy Jeff and bubbles were falling from the ceiling. At one point I think the smoke set off the fire alarm and the whole place spent about 3 minutes with no music. I wonder how people that live here 24/7/365.25 days of the year handle it? I guess you get used to it. In other news I have a photoshoot on Friday and am doing something on TV back home on Monday. Scooting back to hotel now to change shoes and go to YouTube party. Ran into Twitter friend/fan Alex Kinsela from home at a party last night and he invited me to today’s Mashable party. We have never met and we finally do in Vegas. Crazy. I guess anything can happen…

Travel Tuesday – Playa Please

The housemates do the Insanity workout each morning so being a keener, I joined in. I love being in Mexico! Didn’t bring workout clothes so my outfit consisted of American Apparel, Toms, and a headband. Yeah, I’m so super hipster. Textbook. The workout wasn’t as bad as I thought. Reckon I’m more fit than I give myself credit. It amazes me how productive I am with work and exercise when I am out of Toronto. If I could only channel or bottle that inspiration! Knocked a few things off my list and gonna go exploring & grab a coffee (at Starbucks of all places haha). Do you know that Playa Please is a Foursquare badge? Toronto Fashion Week – Buckler, Boys, Babes

Attended five events last Thursday night – two fashion shows in the tents, Movember media launch, Buckler at F-Stop and GSUS at the Hoxton. It was a workout. Lucky for us they were all close together. Living downtown is essential to making the most appearances in a short time. This is Sport Partying 🙂 Check this out – found three of a kind! We were certain a model farted. Pointing & laughing made the situation a WHOLE lot better. Kate snapped all these photos. She’s a darling. Me, always working. Yes, those are my real lashes 😉 Fritz (Fritz Helder) had the most rad Docs. Not avail at the Doc Martens store. He found them somewhere downtown but I will not reveal his secret! let the sun shine in.

We used to chill on the grass all the time when I was a kid. I love fresh cut grass. Was looking for a four leaf clover, those things are almost impossible to find. New Toms are rad & oh so cozy. Thanks Mum for the flowers. They’re all from her garden. People don’t really do that much here as compared to NZ I find. Nana could always pull together a boquet from her garden. Mum took a whole bunch to someone the day before too. I want that when I grow up, a beautiful garden. BTW Mum, the newspaper made my arm all black so when I got home I looked really skiddy. How cute is she?! Love you. Keri got to meet Mum first time. Think we might adopt her. It was so clear out across the Lake when I got home. I could see across to Rochester and it looked bright. So cool to see another country. Heaps of Kiters on the South side of the island. I tried it once. Camped on the beach too. Hope you have an awesome day!

last three months of 2010: bring on the new year!

This was a very exciting time of year for me. In the past three months I’ve been in San Fran, LA, Boston, Dallas, and Puerto Rico. Last year my New Years relolution was to reavel more and I deff made that a reality. i am so proud of my mum because…

She sailed all the way from North of Toronto to the Bahamas with her BF. They cleared customs yesterday. I can’t WAIT to go visit them. Check out Mum’s back yard! This is their very first sunrise. So very cool and beautiful. I’m missing her but I know she wanted to do this for years and I’m inspired by her courage and determinaton. I LOVE YOU MUM. Keep it up. xo p.s. As I typed this a commercial for The Sound of Music came on. That’s Mum’s fav movie. WHOA.

hello LALA LAND, i’m comin’ w/ my @nellabellabrand!

Was frantic yesterday running around looking for something to wear in Dallas that is ‘Western inspired’. Have no fear, the tickle trunk I like to call my closet room is chalk full of theatricical outfits. Jeans hanging up there are my Shop Girls Yoga Yeans, only jeans I’ve worn since I got them. Really comfy and slimming, this all coming from someone who does not like wearing pants so, I mean serious. Keri also came through with a rodeo shirt that will be perfect. I knew exactly what I was looking for and it was surely not this. Well, in some variation but not together… Before shopping I stopped by to see the lovely Tarek at Nella Bella and look what I got… BTW took the nose ring hoop out (Mum :)) so Dallas and customs don’t think I’m a punk. Shaved head/mohawk style looks kinda punky but the blonde hair is distracting, so… I try to take the safest route and go for cuteness when I visit to the airport. I feel like thatis somehting @barbiestyle (aka Barbie) would say. Haha. I wonder if I will see that one customs guy again? Whoa, tangent. Back to this this lovely HUGE bag, he said I needed this colour for LA. SO true. Thank you! I picked up a couple others that will come out during my travels. One is the famed Nella Bella London bag in red. The small part holds my passport and essentials and the big part fits my iPad (Andy) and netbook (Robert) in it perfectly. The big yellow guy is so handsome. If you ever wonder the white rabbit furry guy is from Ruby Boutique in New Zealand. Ok, flight time. Catch ya on the flip side AKA, in the air on Virgin America!

Go through customs and doing bag check and who’s line do I end up in? Oh yeah, same dude who caught me with the gun. He says ” I remember you? Any guns this time? Do I need to search your bag?” We laugh. I say no. He explains what happened and that the dude last time should really have given me back my gun, 38 special (metal necklace). Then some other dude says “they always hassle the pretty girls”, I giggle, I’m always hassled. I gave him my card and I hope he reads this. HI, NICE SECURITY AIRPORT MAN!
