she told me i should try a leather saddle and i got the plant based lube

You know I love my bike, biking, bicyclette. If you don’t, you might wanna do some homework in the company Bike archives. (Duh, where have you been?) There she is. She needs a physical, some real attention. Let’s hope she’s gonna make it. Last week I dropped her off to the Curbside Cycle  on Bloor to see if we can bring her back to life.  Fingers crossed! I was introduced to Curbside after learning they carried the ORONTAS BikeCare line. Orontas is an alternative oil company with “a reckless commitment to do better”.  Their products are biodegradable, petroleum-free and they look nice. Attention bike nerds/hipsters, you should have this stuff already. It just came out Spring 2011. Orontas is a lifestyle maintenance company based in Toronto (cool eh!).  They manufacture and distribute high performance, sustainable and nontoxic products (and tongue twisters). I read on the Curbside Blog that Cervelo uses this stuff. Make your bike sexy & lube it up with ORONTAS products from Curbside Cycle w/ Plant-Based Lube – $13CAN/300g, BikeCare Cleaner – $14CAN/240ml, BikeCare Lubricant – $14CAN/240ml or the Waterproof Grease – $15CAN/115g. Hello Pantone family friends. You are real pretty. I like you. Hey Michael, bicycle, bicycle! These bikes are neat. Reminds me of the Marvel Wheelchair. I have a blog called Nutcase, you probably never heard of it. Curbside has some really sweet helmets. Deff high in the style department. I have a white bern helmet. These are my fav helmets Yakkay “brainwear for smart people“. Only found in Canada at Curbside Cycle.  I mentioned them May 18th, 2009 when you could only order them from the interwebs.  (Early adopter) I look like a dork here but the helmets have this cute hat covering on them and look cool. See the one behind me there? Once…

A Little History on How I Got Here

I woke up this morning determined to find my hot pink photo album and bring back some memories. I didn’t find it but I did come across a bunch of things that made me feel fond about friends, happy about starting a new year and proud of things I’ve done. This was me at Mum’s house on my 21st birthday, eight years ago. This was me at Mum’s house on my 21st birthday, eight years ago. A few months after that photo I shipped off to Australia for university. This was right before the airport, my family. There was a time where I thought I’d never get Mum & Dad together for a photo but such is no longer the case. I grew up so much that year I was away. This was at The Moose in Kitchener (anyone from there will recognize it!) the day I got back from Aus. I was so tiny, all my friends were like “where did your boobs go?”.  I left at about 125lb and came back barely 100. Living at the beach is a great diet. I figure today, my birthday is as good of a day as any to share some memories of where I came from/how I got here. One thing that always changes, is my hairstyle. I’ve had so many colours. Teen model. That was not the end of teen modeling. Oh no, there was much more. And more. After I won this pageant I did all kinds of fashion shows. It was really fun to be honest. I got lots of practice being in front of the camera, walking on stage and it introduced me to some people at Gap where I got my first ever real job. I had braces for about two years in high school. This…

notable’s chilean wine tasting @ the spoke club

Hey girl wha you doin? Thanks for having me & friends Julian. Looking forward to the launch of Notable.ca. I’m Jon Crowley. Nuff said. Food was good too. Lamb, ILU. Mario, you need to shoot me one of these days. Sooner than later! Our names are Reggie – Reggie & Reggie. You are SUCH a foodie JO! Babe watch: Pam, Karly, Keri This was my fav wine of the night: This was second. A friend intro’d me to this a couple years back. This girl was prize winner. I think that guy is my neighbour. Wine tasting was great but I reckon I’ve got a two glass limit. I know drinking is different than tasting but this was more of a drinking/tasting. I used to love wine, could polish off a bottle easy. It gives me a hurting in my chest, like acid reflux when I have to much now. Especially the next day. Urgh. Am I getting old? My birthday is next weekend. I have planned nothing. Ahhh. Ok have a wonderful day! It’s lovely out there.

the hailwood tights – green & blacks

I get asked about these tights often. Adrian Hailwood gave them to me last year at NZ Fashion Week. I love them! This is what they look like up close: They’re all one piece. I need a serger, maybe I could make them? Maybe I should dedicate one whole day to NOT internetting and actually making stuff. Like remember Zoey? I have heaps and heaps of art projects piled up in my mind. I wish I had a cottage on the island or a boat with all my art things on it. I would sail into the lake and make things. Then, after I created a mass amount of  those things with paint, marker & glitter everywhere I would come back and share it with the world. Back to the tights, I’m thinking about getting some over here. Would you be interested? BTW Great photo Isaac 🙂

music: first time at @TheDakotaTavern. yeah, really.

I don’t go to music stuff that much. Last night I went to the Dakota Tavern, do people call it Dakota Tav? Cause they do that down under and it seems cooler. [ Retracts hipster comment.] I love live music and crowds and spinning around on the dance floor or (even better) in the grass. I reckon I start going to more. So fun. Music was fun. Atmostphere & company funner. Sometimes I really wanna be in a band. Shiny disco balls. BE NICE OR LEAVE. Be nice, it’s so much fun. I used to live near this place on Dundas, by the 7-11. I was reminded of  The Red Wheelbarrow. so much depends upon a red wheel barrow glazed with rain water beside the white chickens. We had a chuckle that this kinda looks fun, not like “DYING” more like pushing. Time for a new diagram. This one is funny. I love poems. I have a passion for publishing poetry and allitertation. They were from the book of Gord. I can hear seagulls outside. Wasn’t that storm today wonderful, more than. I am trying to eat breakfast more. I hear that’s what healthy people do and I wanna be one. The colours match;  soft pink, orange, pretty. Glowing.

this one’s for the boys, you’re going to the spa!

I recently had the bext Friday afternoon escape from work ever, three hours at a SPA! Yep. I received a gift certiificate to ME Spa, not just any spa, Male Esthetics Spa that caters primarily to men. I showed up to this! Spa owner Douglas Coburn told me about his work and we picked a couple services while I sipped champagne & ate strawberries. First up was a full body scrub including face. It was so great do something good for my skin. Post scrub I went in to the bathtoom in a robe to wash off the scrub. You can kinda see it on my skin. After that I jumped into another even softer robe. I swear to you it was like being inside a stuffed animal, like one of those Gund or really expensive stuffed animals. I was already feeling less stress. Douglas used to be the Director of Esthetics at Bode Spa in Ottawa. A men’s spa is quite like any other (woman) spa except here they really know manscaping and how to ease stress of life in the city. I love hearing a guy I know got a manicure or pedicure. It shows you take care of yourself and that is sexy if you are man or woman.  If you are a dude who takes care of yourself, you will likley feel more confident. Then when you use that confidence to chat a beautiful lady, you won’t be self conscious about your unibrow, hairy back (god forbid shoulders), crackly feet, nose hairs (gross) ear hairs (ewww). Think how nice your manicured hand will look/feel on her…..    Yes. This is Douglas, super nice. I had rushed there and was all high-energy-crazy-internet-person, he was such a nice calm for my ADHD. He also writes for a magazine…

New makeup for me, Givenchy! Thank you #LVMH xo

My job has perks and today was a good one. This morning team Givenchy & LVMH had a few people at Sephora in Yorkville to see the new makeup products. Now that’s MY kinda breakfast. I’ve been doing work with Givenly LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy) for the last few years. They’ve been really great to me & my blog with giveaways, goodies and donating prizes for charity events. Thanks, guys! Keri browsing all the new stuff, looking glam. Clearly, I NEED A MANICURE but this blush jelly is good for all skin tones. This is David the General Manager for LVMG Fragrance Brands. Charming you are David! Thanks for having us. I’m learning how to work the Olympus PEN better too. Today I figured out how to paparazzi style shoot. Look out. Stalky stalk, stalk. Haha, I love being creeeeeepy. I’m going to have a BLAST playing with all these new products. From what I’ve tried in the past they are really, really good.

i totally had a dude where’s my car moment

No seriously. I’m not used to driving a car downtown. I love to walk and text and take photos and look at stuff. Yes, driving is fun but YES driving downtown in the middle of the day can make you a crazy person. A CRAZY PERSON. I feel like a tourist driving. Yesterday Toyota Canada gave me a Matrix to drive for the week. I’m not sure why I think this, but I have a feeling that they got it to me by using a car moving company similar to CarsRelo as it was the easiest way to do it. However they delivered it to me though, I was so excited to try it out. It’s a fun car. The ability to just get up and go is awesome. For example, today I had brunch at my Sister’s house:) Back to the story… Today my car was towed. I got it yesterday. “There’s a first for everything! #casiefail (@ JP Towing) http://4sq.com/i1vsxd“ Stop laughing. I thought I was fine where I parked but I was wrong. I left the office and was chatting away on the phone as I walked back to the car on King Street just after 5:15pm. I parked at 2:45. You can’t park there 4-6pm. My friend on the phone witnessed a mini panic. Where’s my car? OMG. All the cars were gone. It took me less than 15min to find it at JP nyc towing company and in about an hour I had it back. Thank you Shelly for driving me. The towing people were really nice and despite that it cost $180, it was kinda fun. I originally thought they’d put the cars on tandem trailers to transport them to the towing company but I later realised it wouldn’t have fit on one! I’m…

There’s a whole story behind this photo and I’ll get to that. For now, we’re not gonna go THAT meta….oh just me with my Olympus PEN on Global TV wearing my shades photographing myself wearing my shades with the PEN being shot by the other Olympus XZ. HAHA. I am aware of my nerdyness, I like to think it’s hotness aight. Picking up a NEW CAR from Toyota this afternoon and working on some exciting projects with my clients. Super busy but lovin’ it. p.s. Getting a new TV stand this week ok so no comments about that. Baaaahahaaa!

never stop fighting.

Hello friends! Feels kinda Springy today, not that I’ve been outside or anything. Erin Leydon shot this of me in the summer. Amazing how the change in time, season, daylight really effects us humans. Oh science, you. CONFETTI! I have a confetti popper in my room and I so bady wanna pop it off the balcony one of these days. I will. Has to be sunny & a little windy to get what I’m looking for. Maybe I’ll save it for summer. I feel it getting closer… These photos are from tumblr, have you checked it before? It’s called OH CASIE and it’s mostly photos of pretty girls and stuff > tumblr.casiestewart.com I felt like a little Gwen today. I love her. I have all the Harajuku Girl parfums. I totally adored when she used to parade around with these harajuku babes. I’d love to do that too, naturally. Her outfits make me so happy, SUPA KAWAII. And these two, where do we even start, Gavin, such a babe. This hair makes me happy. Mine is growing on the top, slowly. I would so get extentions so I could have Gewn hair. So great. Remember waaaaaaaay back in like 2009 when I was obsessed with Aggy? I wrote about Aggy Style, her singing, and this one time she was all bruised up. Clearly I have a think for blondes with hair like me, haha. Haven’t seen her around much anymore. Wonder if she is still doing runway? She’s cute as ever still. Caught this recent snapshop on tumblr too. The Puma video is finshed and should be uploaded to their youtube anytime. JapanQuakeTO is coming together also. The site for that should be live later this afternoon.  I’ll share it all when it’s ready. Hope you have an awesome day!…

The thing that really is blowing my mind is… #japan

I closed my blinds last night and got to thinking about Japan. In bed with iPad & Android, I looked outside, the lake was calm.  I said goodnight to Twitter. I don’t usually do that, I often leave like an irish goodbye. I said goodbye because I love my friends and in the back of my head I know that so many people in Japan woke up Friday morning and never got a chance to say goodbye. They woke up to their houses and lives right fucked up. I can only imagine that happening. There is no word to explain how is makes me feel when I watch those videos over and over. It’s like a movie but it’s not a movie, its real. The world trade centre, that was real. We all remember that day. I remember lots of other stuff in my life but that WTC stands out as something totally monumental, like Japan. I will never get any of these images out of my head. The water rushing over the city, the planes crashing into the buildings. Yes, one distaster was man made and one natural but to me, they are the biggest I’ve ever seen. The thing that really is blowing my mind is the severity, scale and consequences of it all. How the hell do you fix a first world nation that’s been shaken, stirred and radiated? Japan was pretty much run through the dishwasher. There’s going to be a massive ripple affect on society from this. Japan is home to vehicles and electronics that WE love. It is the third largest national economy in the world after US and China in GDP & purchasing power parity (aka PPP if you forgot). I read on Bloomberg.com that Cannon, Sony, Panasonic, Toyota, Honda, Sapporo have all suspended production. I…
