This week is so exciting. I’ve got events every night, all kinds of fun stuff each day and NXNE & MMVA to cap off the weekend. The Broken Heel Diaries magazine is hosting a gifting lounge MMVA weekend and I’m one of their bloggers. I’ll be working with the BHD team & awesome bloggers  Coco&Lowe , HustleGRL, JayStrut and Marcus Troy. Woo hoo!   Have you ever been to a gifting lounge? It’s totally awesome. Last year at TIFF was my first time and it’s like your birthday. Hair, nails, clothes, games, makeup, shoes, products galore. You get hooked up with stuff from cool companies. One of the most annoying things ever is when girls (any age) talk about you to other people. I’ve talked about it before and despite getting older, it never seems to go away. It is especially annoying when it is public, negative, the person has a high profile and they also don’t bother to say it to you directly. I was not Regina George in highschool and didn’t used to have the confidence I do now. I got bullied heaps growing up, mostly by mean girls. Today I got a message from a friend on my way home from the airport after six hours on airplanes and spending half the day before in an airport… “your tweets & blog post rant about parents with kids at airport is causing a shit storm with parents on fb” GREAT! Welcome home! First: Thank you for reading & linking to my blog Erica. I’m happy to have you as a reader. I’ve been a fan of yours since I was a kid. Circa 1991 here, lookin’ cute. We both worked at MuchMusic and I’ve often wondered if  we would work on a project together. We both blog & Tweet in Toronto. We have many friends in common. I always though of you as cool with great style.   Second: Why didn’t you comment/say ANYTHING TO ME? I know you’re not shy. Lots of options, Twitter, Facebook, Fan Page, blog , email? I am surprised you would single me out like that to your friends on Facebook without commenting as a mother yourself. I waited to see if you would say something to me since you were engaging your audience about my blog post. You didn’t. Dad loves racing so to be working with a race car driver is pretty neat. Especially an epic, race winning child prodigy one. Sky & I were twerkin’ hard in the office aka the rig. She is 11. We were tweeting our hearts out during the bike race portion. She is a riot.  RA RA RIOT. I was telling Kyle how he’s gonna have ladies all ova’ him. He’s so dang cute. Any of you out there 13ish? He’s single. Gettin’ ready. Talladega styles. Race time. Team #71. Was a totally crazy race. Started with 25 drivers, finished with 16ish. About 20 cautions, three ambo’s. This one went straight to hospital, back injury. Hope you’re ok man. Waiting for the track to be cleared then take a few laps to warm up the tires. (Get’s easily distracted) HAHAHAHAHAHHA. What a winner this stud. Kyle took 3rd. Nice one buddy! Kyle loves Gatorade. (wink wink nudge nudge) Sky, you are the cutest ever. Check those tire marks from racers bumpin’ him. Bump & grind fo’ realz His shirt was actually soaking wet. We were laughing. Dang hot drivin’ them cars. (Clearly I’ve been in the South, I’m typing with an accent.) Impressed with how well spoken you are Kyle. Nice twerk. Good interview. Night was fun. Brekky & travel home tomorrow. I miss my own bed. I like being away but I love coming home. Next trip is Boston in July. Next week is busy with NXNE (music & interactive), MMVAs & more. Gonna be real fun. Have an awesome day 🙂

You know I love Gaga. I’ve told you a bunch of times before. Remember the MMVAs last year? Kingi from Peach Berserk made me a custom dress with all the big performers on it: Bieber, Katy, Drake, Miley.  I was excited. I worked with some really great people at Much & MTV last year, the MMVA experience is very memorable. My job was Social Media Queen and it was super fun to say the least.  Blog post from MMVA Day 2010 is here. I’ve got a couple things planned for MMVA weekend this year. One is a party w/ Gaga’s DJ, Lady Starlight. 🙂 Starlight will be rocking The Velvet Underground (510 Queen St West) after the MMVA’s June 19 in Toronto. Went to a Mattel Gaming roof top party last night with some media peeps. It was fun. You will see. SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!   LADY BLOGGA. Keri we need to eat the black Uno cards and turn colour. ME. This afternoon I’m heading back to Centennial College with my (digital) brother Andrew Stewart. We’re chatting a PR & Digital Media class about social media and our lives. I love this city! Andrew works at Strategic Objectives PR and is going to discuss social media from an agency perspective. He was the brains behind the NYE weekend in Montreal this past December. I’ll be speaking about how I built up a big following, grew my network and turned something I truly love into my job, living an exciting, positive life! I walk on glitter BTW. Reckon imma plank in the classroom. I bet they will think it’s funny. Maybe we can group plank? That would be way cool. Yeah I said ‘way cool’ dude. Ok ttys. Love you.

I have like 8,000 things I’m trying to do an I wanna do is blog, blog, blog. Wahhhh. Here’s some things I did today real fast. Had this song stuck in my had all day. You’re welcome. Plank like ‘errrrrrrrry day. New shoes @ Get Outside. I replaced my white canvas Converse (like those words together) every summer. I love summer. Went to a beautiful Dermaglow event at the TIFF Lightbox. The team is fab. Thank you for all the products. I can’t wait to wash my face & moist it in a few mins. I’m excited for Film Fest this year. If you & your company wanna chat about doing something cool together email [email protected]. 10 days of pure awesome fun. Sometimes when Keri & I hang out it’s like, so meta. So funny too. Keri taking photo to blog and me taking her photo & blogging it. Oooh hehe haha. I kill me. Ate a meat pie. I love meat pies. Wasn’t as good as NZ meat pie though.  Say meat pie again. Mince meat w/ potato top are my most fav. I also like patio lunches. Got some jazz in the mail from China I ordered from Etsy. I freaking love Etsy now. I have a bad memory (reason I started this blog) so I forget things often. I didn’t know what was in the package before I opened it. Self gifting FTW. Keri got mail too. Look how happy. Tonight I have three events, Steamwhistle, Yelp, Molson Sublime. Excited to see friends. I love summer. Gah! LIFE’S A BEACH & THIS IS MY LIFE! BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Now remember kids: Safe Planking is FUNNY but Dangerous Planking is STUPID. Today is… Last night Keri & went PLANKING. It was really fun. Music Garden double plank. Wikipedia: Planking is the act of lying face down with arms to the sides of the body, in unusual public spaces and photographing it. Kinda dumb but oh so funny. Sorta like this… Tree plank. If everyone in the world would hold a one minute plank every day, we would be more fit & stronger and centered. This takes core strength guys. Hold it, steady. LEAN is SEXY. Planking, originated in Australia and was originally called The Lying Down Game “à plat ventre” (on one’s belly). Haha my shorts. Two cute boys w/ a boat took this for us. Planking is a great way to make friends. The Rules from Know Your Meme: More Public the Better. Larger the Group, the Better. No location is out of bound when playing the game. (Please be safe!) Palm of hands held against the sides, toes touching the ground. Amsterdam Brewery plank. This got us free beers. Plank you very much Tyler, ya babe. Our hair looks cute. Have you planked? Had ice cream at Ed’s Real Scoop in the Beaches today. Chocolate & homemade. So good.  I useally go for chocolate, nothing to fancy or with accessories. Carly gave me the great suggestion. Y’know Carly? She’s my friend/agent/blondetourage blog babe who moved to Florida last year and she’s COMING BACK this week. Yay. Gonna go driving to this album tomorrow. So many good songs. I was creeping Jack White… Did you know he is Scottish, Polish and Canadian descent. He’s quite fascinating if you don’t already know. This was a funny comic to get today, right after a wedding and all. Cheryl & Jared  had cheesecake. It was good. Tonmorrow I’m checking out all the nerdy tech stuff  about this Ford Fusion.  Maybe a car wash too. I have the Fusion Sport, black leather interior, 2.5L.  Fun car to drive.  I really like cars. Grew up hanging in the garage with Dad.  He builds hot rods. Had his own shop in Cambridge when I was growing up, “Toys for Boys”. Saw this today and thougt of you Dad. The Beaches are so pretty. Reminds me of where I grew up. Old houses, tall trees, narrow streets, sidewalk stairs, front porch. If I had a car full time I reckon I could live in the East End. (OMG, did I just say that?)  Queen West hipsters move to the East End when they grow up right? haha Would be rad to build/reno an old house here.  Fantastzed about that today, my car, my house, my street. I see my house and so can you. Dude at Amsterdam said this building on left is going to be a Loblaws. Saw a super old pic & Loblaws has owned it since before any other this stuff was built. The Lou Dawgs patio was so hot yesterday. The sun was warm too. It was 12/1, girl/guy ratio.  Oh yeah, love it. We were hecking passers by. Well, mostly I was. lulz Only guy was Darryl himself! Jenie & I chatted about life. Reflected on our awesome day. (Hair cut on Tuesday, it’s long!) So glad I took out my nose ring. Kabbalah string broke in later in the day. Didn’t get poutine (for once) opted for a healthier chicked salad wrap. Very good. We gifted out leftovers to a homeless guy. Wearing new mala beads w/ black onyx stone. Gift send to me from Tiny Devotions. You’ll be seeing more of them this summer. Say hello to @thegingerjoo, she’s a bossy boots, sassy pants Ginger. Love Jooooooo! Cutie pie Jeanine 🙂 Say hellooo to my other friend Susur Lee. Something was bring filmed outside his resto. That’s all for now kids. Let the weekend begin!
