It was totally raining Friday morning and I was thinking Corlise must have been freaking. She was marrying Milton at 2:30 and I sent out as many positive vibes as I could that the sun would come out. It did.

It was really pretty, the wedding has at her grandparents house. I would love to go to a wedding at my Grandad’s place out on the coast of New Zealand near Glenburn Station. This photo is just down the coast from his place.

The site for Glenburn Station must be new cause I’ve not seen it before and looking at it made me teary.  I hang out there when I visit. I really want to visit. This trip to New Zealand for NZ Fashion Week is really inspiring me. I want to go back again, alone, and I want to visit the whole country. I’ve never seen the South Island or Christchurch. That’s where the 7.0 quake hit last Friday AM.

Grandma on Dad’s side has a farm too. We used to have a pet goat there named Snowflake, before they ate her.

She looked beautiful getting out of a horse drawn carriage. I just can’t see myself doing that. The day, when it’s all about me and people bring presents and scedule their whole day around what I want. I feel guilty just thinking about it. I will need a few drinks to get to an alter. I’m not so sure about that love drunk thing. An EHarmony ad just came on the TV, GET OUTTA HERE.

She did it. Corlise wanted to marry Milton, they’ve got house and stuff, aLmost married already. So cute together they are.

Then comes the party. The best part. I’ve not been to  friends wedding yet so this was pretty fun. I only knew the bridesmades and a few Mum’s so it was all new peeps for me.

New friends. The boy has a MySpace for his band he insisted I check out; the kyle rose. Listening now, it’s folk. He never told me that! I was thinking he was in some young kid band. What a cutie pie.

Probably that we are all hardworking yuppies in the city who go out during the week and spend more time on the internet furthering our careers than settling down suberbs style and catch a fish. Ya? I think so.

Really looking for a break from the concrete jungle where all my dreams are coming true right now. I want grass and trees and car rides with Dad and home cooked meals. I get sick of Sushi for one and eating dinner from a takeout box while standing alone in my kithen. Somedays I enjoy that the most. Others I don’t. I’m going to see old friends and hear new stories about their lives. I sometimes don’t want to talk about my life when I see people because I already told the whole free world about what I am doing on my blog. Everything and nothing at the same time; I saw a movie, went to a party, layed down in the grass, watched a youtube. It’s all stuff and a life, it’s my life and I love it. I love sharing. Part of the reason I love sharing it to talk to myself and remember things better. A blog is really good therapy. Always listens to your thoughts and helps you get them out.

First of all, thank you everyone that came out last night. It was one of the most epic GenYTO night’s we’ve had. It was HUUUUGE! I arrived early and there were already a few peeps ready to get the party started. Soon as 8pm rolled around, the sun was setting and a steady flow of people filled the London Tap House patio.

Before we knew it, we had a full on PARTIO happening.

There are five of us on the organizing team and we all have red marked name tags, they are Erin (above with Jonathan), Renee (below) , Daniel & Dave.

I met a heap of new people who were happy to be attending a GenYTO for the first time. Heard comments all night about how many new faces there were around. I love that.

This group started in Feb. 2009 with about 30 people meeting at an uptown bar near Young and Eglington. Last night, our guest list topped 300 and there was lineup to get in for part of the night. Amazing, eh!

There were lots of babes around too. That’s Daniel on the right beside tattoo’d stud.

Was home at a decent hour after Tweetgasm last night. Thanks for everyone who came out.  There was a neat art display in room 212 upstairs and Lynsie and some friends played with lazers!! We tried like crazy to make hearts, this one is the best we got.

Good thing she is a photographer and knows how to work a camera. I would have never figured out how to make fancy light show photos. I know now! Yay. The mural in the little Twitter room was pretty rad too.

Next Tweetgasm is late September, stay tuned for that. Quite looking forward to GenYTO on Thursday, over 235 people confirmed! New faces and old friends will make for a great time.

I’m heading to Andrew Richard Designs shortly, Gap Inc. is having a launch party for their new online shopping site. Kinda crazy they didn’t have online shopping in Canada till now eh?

But it was fun. Seeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Exhausted from a whole day on the bus with the Bud gurlz. Sweet thangs they are. (HIIIIII to you if you are reading girls!)  Everyone was super nice and fun especially the security and event staff. One employee girl was bit snooty but I reckon it’s because I got an outfit and didn’t wear it. Yay me! I’m wearing it NOW as I BLOG.

Overall, we had a fun time. The food was pretty good too. Nice getting there before all the boys arrived on Friday. There were so many boys. About 150 winners each with a plus 1.  Watching them get off the bus and come down the gaultlet past the girls was charming.

I missed the internet but not as much as I thought. Wilderness was pretty nice. Fresh air, stars, woodchips and fire. We stayed offsite at a house with full bathroom and tv which was great. Freaked out over chipmunks. I though I liked them, but no. They are cute from far but far from cute. Rascals, all nut eating and scurrying and stuff.

They  need to have mobile charging stations at these type of things. The cabin stayers had no outlets. None!! I hardly had phone service and couldn’t checkin on foursquare.  Wahhhh. Chatted a dude about getting the mayorship but my phone was not playing nice so he got it. Learned for about $5,000 per carrier you can get a temp tower put up. That would be badass, wifi for everyone. WordPress mobile, twitter, facebook and posting via email to tumblr FTW.

Talk nerdy to me. Lots happening this week, looking forward to it.  Tweetgasm at the Gladstone Melody Bar Monday night and GenYTO Thursday at the Tap House. Went for an evening stroll with Sabrina to Bellwoods and visited a friends roof patio for some wine and sunset. Stopped by CTS on the way, my fav shop. They had a bunch of items that were $1 and I picked up a couple vintage dresses I can totally do a Pretty in Pink switch to. I’m giving Zoey (my sewing machine) a workout this winter.

Heading to the Fairlie Agency for a little co-working woith Carly-Anne today. Haircut at 4 with Darren, think I’m gonna buzz it one last time for summer. Dinner with Jeremy and some friends tonight, we finally all get to meet his crush. Loser karaoke after that but I’m gonna have to call it an early night. I still haven’t packed for Bud Camp  and we leave at 7am.

Recently I saw someone acting out of what can only be explained as jealousy. I’d heard a few things she’s said then she threw a couple jabs here and there and I was “wtf is up, I thought we were friends”.  The most disappointing was the way she started acting, then after seemed to be nicey-nice again.  I don’t get it and I refuse to waste my time trying to understand. You live and learn I guess.

We’ve all seen Mean Girls and we all remember highschool when girls act mean just because you’re doing well. What I don’t get, is how people don’t relize that negative thoughts and feelings become things and in the end  you are only hurting yourself making yourself look stupid. I really wanna send those people a GET WELL SOON card.

I LOVE seeing people around me do well. I tell my friends to call me when something exciting happens, I say “you can always brag to me“. I’m inspired by the people around me, that’s part of the reasons we’re friends in the first place. Duh! You can email me something awesome anytime, I’ll respond. Sometimes it’s hard to share with friends cause you know they wont be as happy for you as your Mum would. I will.

I had so much fun working/partying with the girls this weekend. It was refreshing to be around four babes that blog and tweet like you do, we all ‘get it’. It was never rude to be tweeting or texting while talking and there was the sound of a camera every few mins. I loved it.

I’m stoked for our next blondevoyage. Until then, rock on and have an awesome day.

I am so excited. However, I am sure that does not surprise you.  Haven’t had a weekend away with a bunch of girls in years. We’re staying at the Mountain Springs Resort (with the bands I believe), have a driver, back stage passes, media all access, Zeugari swimwear, and more good stuff we don’t even know about yet. Holyshitballs. This could be trouble.

I tried to pull myself away from the computer, thinking I need a damn break. I was feeling all meh. I played Sims Miami party on Nintendo DS in bed, attempted to sketch book, played with phone, paced around, tried not to snack. I found myself back at the computer again and again and that’s where I started putting out good vibes.

Do you know what happened next? THEY CAME BACK. A whole slew of good stuff happened today and it flipped my shit mood right on it’s damn stupid head. THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS PEOPLE. Like attracts like. I am so happy right now everytime I get nervous that ‘maybe I can’t do it’ or ‘how the heck is this gonna work’ I remind myself that I can and I will. I finally have the freedom to work on exactly what projects I want, with whom and when. I have dreamed of this and I will not let you down, I will not let me ME down.

I close my eyes, cover them with my hands and repeat “this is my life, this is my life“.

I got VIP tickets to Metric tonight outta the blue from my gonna-meet-tonight-first-time-new-friend from my home town.  Oh internet, I love you so. I love this song too. Playin’ on repeat.

Oh man so beauty out there today. Woke up earls and jumped on my new cruiser for a ride in the sunshine by the lake. Riding is so much more free than walking. Faster, wind in your hair. I rode alonside the lake lazily dreaming about traveling, writing and where the path will take me, the road less travelled that is.

Love and miss you Mum. Enjoy sailing today. I think of her everytime I see the boats chilling.

All this week’s plans are in a schedule so I make sure I maximize my time. Today I’ve got a dinner for Marc (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!), inerview for a Uni newspaper and family friend coming to visit this AM. Her name is Pat and she was like a second Mum to me growing up. I thank her for my love of designer clothes and outgoing style. She was always dressed so elegant and stylish. I would love to raid her closet and see what jem’s she’s still got kicking around. I’m gonna ask her today for sure hehe.

Put my old basked on my new bike last night. Got my hands all dirty playing with tools. Reminded me of working in the garage with Dad as a kid. I loved that.

Pretty stoked about Wakestock this weekend. We’re still  looking for accomodation, if you can help PLEASE TELL ME NOW! We’re open to hotel, cottage, RV, B&B anything that isn’t camping really. We need to get al dolled up pretty so no bathroom = no fun.

Ok, man I gotta run. Pat’s gonna be here soon with Nicole and I’ve not showered or cleaned up the place. Oh, INTERNET, You are so distracting! I just can’t seem to quit you my love.

Night time creepout at Ireland Park.

Not as scary in the day…

The white marks in the rock that came all the way from Ireland are oyster shells. Pretty & neat, saw the heart, thought of Mum sailing the seas. In the night the statue had loonies and quarters but the next day, the money was all gone. I would have never taken it. Bad karma.

Here’s the story: Ireland Park honours the Irish immigrants  who fled during the amine of 1847. 38,000 of them arrived here that summer,  at that time our city had about 20,000 living here. Wow, my blog is so educational!

Saw this pretty thing too and thought it was a lucky day. Little did I know JUST how lucky it would be…

I’m so freaking happy to be riding again. I felt so FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE cruising home. Ahhh, the wind in my hair, the open road.  I’m home again. Remember how much I rode my old bike last summer? Stoked to take her out for a ride tomorrow AM. I think we look really good together, you could say I’m now in a relationship ♥.

I played in the sprinklers at the park and IT WAS AWESOME. I will never be too old (too boring) to play in leaves, snow, sprinklers or dance in the rain. I LIVE for those moments.

I didn’t plan to get soaked in the hot hot sun but it felt awesome. Totally gonna hit that spot up as much as I can this month.

Hung out with some babes too, Sabrina & Sadie. Hot bitches. Love when Sabrina plays ‘dog sitter’. We get to have a dog and then give it back hassle free. It’s the best. Kinda like babysitting a child, although, I’m so glad Sabrina does the babysitting. I’m not really into kids that much right now TBH.

I love this dog. She’s the cutest pup ever. Well behaved, doesn’t bark, plays nice. I’m not huge on animals, I don’t like when they shed, touch your stuff, slobber and need attention all the time.  Of them all, Boxers are deff my favourite.

I guess the better thing to say is I’m not much of a ‘pet’ person. I like when pets have good manners, I like people with good manners too. Sadie stood right on me as I was laying in the water. It was so cute & funny. True love.
