twenty four seconds of fun

all the better to see you with my dear

Matchstick & Maybelline sent me this massive tank of makeup about a month ago. Graciously shared heaps of it with girl friends cause there was so much.

Really love the XXL PRO Curl mascara, makes my lashes massive. It is one of thse double ended ones with the white stuff you put on before the black stuff. Vibrating mascara is still my fav but this is a close second.

ball game, take me out to the crowd

Boston vs. beats Toronto, April 28th, 2010.

Heyoo, lets go Blue Jays!

It was super dead so we could sit where ever we wanted.

The boys were into it.

I was less into it.

Oh look, art.

Cheers to Toronto beers + family + fun yeah awesome love you!

Fuck yeah red socks.

The end.

spending high times together in the sun

Sisters.

Cousins from NZ.

Blurry vision.

It was super sunny. Good thing I wore a bikini under.

Then is was cloundy but there was no rain.

Horse walked in to a park.

Twitter-twatter.

The whole day was super fun. We’ve been hitting up the festival for the past five years and this year was by far the most busy. There were heaps of people, food trucks and clouds of smoke.  Happy smoking! haha

Time to get outside and enjoy this beautiful day!

was i ever crazy or maybe life is

Sisterhang yesterday = Awesomism

Woke up early to create a FB page for Darren who does my hair. I’ve got an appt this week so wanted to make sure it was made before then. Was pretty cloudy at first but it’s sunny now. Gonna take my art supplies down to the water and sit in the sun/grass adding to Unnecessary Wheels. I’ve got a couple special people to make things for. Watched Girl Interrupted this morning, good background noise for concentrating. The girls are crazy but I love them. Remmeber Brittany Murphy, I like her.

take me to the ocean and lose me forever

Hung out with my sis the other day. Quite hilarious when we hang out,  the older we get the more similar, we are,  especially our mannerisms and the way we talk. We spend half the time laughing out loud. For real.

People always say we sound the same on the phone, especially our parents.  More and more we look similar  in photos, too, it’s totally crazy going through her pix.  It was so nice down by the lake and watching the sunset If you live her or near the water somehwere, go there more often.

Jenie took this pic of me, haha. Pop’a colla.

There’s nothing like hanging out with her. Our cousin is coming this week FROM NEW ZEALAND. First young cuzzy that’s been over this side of the planet since I was like ten. Super exciting.

Hanging out in the beaches with Carly this afternoon. So nice and heaps of trees around,  much different than the concrete jungle where I spend mosta my days.

the process of changing apples to oranges

I wake up. Twist and scream. I think, why me? Sometimes live throws you curve balls. You can catch it. Pain, I can handle it. X-ray day today. Most people don’t like the doctor but it helps when he’s young and handsome like mine. I’m grateful for the friends/family who have been helping me. I’m thankful for Mum. I rung her so upset this morning and she saved the day. She made me feel better. Then I remembered it’s her birthday. I felt horrible. Finally did some laundry. I got flowers last night from the house where I fell. They’re beautiful. Getting read to go now. I can do this. It’s gonna be ok. Positive thinking.

I just read over your Billie Jean King quote about achieving your dreams, Mum.  The one in the frame. Thank you. I love you.

that was a night and a half, lets do it again!

Whoa. I had the kind of night filled with excitement that less fortunate souls dream of. Kinda feel like I’m still there…

I was gonna tidy/pack while watching television at home alone…UNTIL….

I got a message from the famous Shawn Hawaii inquiring about the Sprout Up. Was I attending? I was now.

Threw on an outfit. (Mum knit the vest in the 1970′s). Jumped on the trolley and headed to meet Hawaii. First stop, Sprouter SproutUp in Yorkville.

If you like being surrounded by smart entrepreneurs and cool people, go next time. You’ll thank me. It’s Oct 14th, second Wednesday. Don’t worry, I’ll remind you.

Second stop was the Globe’s Beatles party at the Berkley Church.  The party was fun and we got a killer giftbag with the new Beatles Blueray disk. I also got flowers. Yeah, awesome!

We cruised to the Annex for a bite and beer and then took it up a notch in the Distillery district.  Belmont cigarettes was throwing an entertainment industry party. Knew about a zillion people and I still have drink tickets in my purse if you want them. Ran into stylish Ms. Sass from Zucket.com among many other notables including PJ Phil!

Belmont has some sexy new skinny cigarettes and I snagged a bunch of packs.  At home I put on my Super Woman costume and danced around. Oh, who , will I be at Twestival on Saturday?? avatars myspace with Gickr

Did you get your tickets for Saturday yet? Sheesh, do it now. I’m paying $5 of your night, use CASIE as your promo code. It’s ON A BOAT!

Tonight is TedxTO party at Brasaii and the opening of TIFF. It’s definitely going to be Notable. RSVP here if you haven’t yet. See you on the red carpet! Bring your camera!

p.s. Quite Waldo-ish today :)

garage sale vintage steal

One time Jenie and I went out to a fashion party and we decided to wear these vintage dresses from the 1950′s. Mum snagged then at a garage sale. Probably from an old lady. It was awesome wearing them. We both felt so elegant while the other girls wore mall clothes.  It was our debut and the first time they were out in over 20 years. We were a hit! Thanks Mum!

you’ve won an all inclusive vacation to balconia

Nice outside today.

I had a teacher in college that said he was spending the summer in beautiful Balconia and I  assumed it was somewhere in Europe. Nope, Blaconia = balcony, as in your own. It’s a more mod and exotic way to say the now popular term ‘staycation’.

These are something things in my room I like a lot.

Natalie Dee = favorite comic. She’s a riot. She posts new ones everyday. I have heaps of hers saved to look at later. This is a good one. One of my first blog stickers is on the bottom.

One of my most favorite photos us us girls. It was in the back yard at Mum’s one summer. It’s been ages since I went home. I reckon i’m due.

We used to have this Zen page-a-day calendar at home back in the 1990′s.  I always really like the Shakespeare ones.
