Last week on Coral TV I talked about one of my fav new apps. It’s called Vine and it’s from Twitter. Vine allows you to shoot and edit at the same time by touching the screen with your finger. Once created, you upload the six second loop and share to Vine, Twitter, or Facebook. I love that the Vine can be viewed within the Twitter app. I made a GIF of the episode because I love making GIFs.
I’ve been part of the short video evolution over the last few years with 12seconds.tv, Keek, Viddy, GIF apps, and now Vine. It’s amazing to be a creator when technology is always changing.
In the first 2013 episode of THIS: The Hot Internet Show I fill you in on how I add text to Instagram photos. This comes after a bunch of comments and requests so I am happy share my ‘secret’.
Download the free version Overgram or the full version Over for $1.99 (more fonts!). There are 17+ previous episodes of THIS and heaps of other great shows on Coral TV.
In my most recent episode of THIS on Coral, I teamed up with Shannon Lee Simmons, host of Money Awesomeness, to review the best personal finance apps to help you manage your money. Check out her top picks and watch us have a bunch of laughs together. It’s so much fun doing shows with the other Coral hosts. A hoot I tell ya!
Check out Shannon’s website for all kinds of tips on how to manage your finances. She really knows her stuff. Getting your finances in order lifts a HUGE burden, freeing your mind (and $$) to focus on other things. About seven years ago, I was on W Network show called Maxed Out and didn’t know how to manage money or debt. Getting my finances in order made a huge difference and I finally paid off school last year.
In other news, my episode of Maxed Out is now playing on Oprah’s OWN Network! It airs next on Oct. 30th. OPRAH FTW!
Hopefully some of these tips will help you out. If you have any questions for Shannon about finances or me about apps, ask us on Twitter or in the comments on YouTube! Follow Shannon on Twitter @shanleesimmons and me @casiestewart.
A brand new ep. of my show on Coral came out today. This week I’m sharing some of my fav gadgets for playing in the park and summer chilling. We had a big week for the channel passing 1,000 subscribers. Make sure you are one of them by visiting youtube.com/coral
This week on @CoralTV I share with you some of my fav apps for iPhone. They are 360 Panorama, Diptic, Camera+, and Pick. Example of each one below. Some others I’m into are Loopcam (GIFs), Flixel, Photoshake, and Flipagram.
This ep is a 1/3 part mini-series that’s all tech talk about teh internets. THE INTERNET!!
I had to give it a try. I saw photos pf people I knew and famous faces poppin up all over Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. I’ve gotten Sharon Stone before and Nicole Richie is the most common celebrity match I’ve had the last ten years.
Here are my celebrity matches:
Madonna, Spielberg, maybe I have a famous looking face? I always loved Brittany Murphy.
The app is called aLike and it’s free for iPhone. Download, select photo of you or someone else, and voila, you have a match. Think Lauren looks like an Patricia Arquette, oui, non?
It’s a bit smart this app, I tried with a photo I took of Adrian Grenier and IT PICKED Adrian Grenier.
Speaking today at NXNE, two panels back to back from 9-11am. Here are some things I found from SXSW earlier this year. Simple but good to keep in mind, esp. if this is your first rodeo.
My favorite things from this list:
- Stay on topic
- Always respect the audience
The audience is giving you their time to hear about a topic. You can talk about yourself the rest of the day! Perform your knowledge, be yourself.
Schedule & description:
There is a huge opening party for NXNE Interactive tonight. Imma need to schedule a nap I reckon. Naps are key.
I will be around the conference location Hyatt most the day. Say hi! Looking forward to seeing everyone.
I’ve always taken ‘The Wizard of Oz’ very seriously, you know. I believe in the idea of the rainbow. And I’ve spent my entire life trying to get over it. Judy Garland
