Lifestyles of the Queen West and Fabulous

We have two shows in December and this is just a few of us doing one of the numbers. Class is taught by Carla Catherwood and we are, THE ARMY OF SASS. I can’t wait for WEDNESDAY.
FTW. I have new shoes and am posting this so I remember to practice. I did ballet for 10 years growing up and did competitions and shows all the time. I am super nervous/excited about doing this. Now that I’m thirty and all.

It’s been three weeks of rehearsal for our shows in December. I waited a couple weeks till we had something to show you. I could literally make GIFs of everything we do. Lead by creator & choreographer of Nuvo-Burlesque Carla Catherwood, and commercial choreographer Lindsay Ritter, we are the ARMY OF SASS.

I saw the Electronic Cabaret a few times this summer and I knew I needed to be part of it. This is one of the coolest things I’ve done in the last year (at least). I have a video of us doing a routine but I am shy to show you my skills just yet.
This is a sneak peek of what we’re working on. I hope you come to the show. There are about 50 of us. It is burlesque like you have never seen before and I am SO STOKED to be part of it. My sister Jenie is also in the troupe along with the lovely Jaclyn Genovese, Carolyn Van and a whole bunch of other babes.
P.S. If you’d like to dance with us there is a DROP-IN CLASS Wednesday night’s 8:30-9:30pm at King West Fitness. LMK if you decide to come. It will be the highlight of your week!
It’s fashion season and for the next month or two the world is buzzing with fashion week’s all over the world. I won’t be at Berlin Fashion Week (January 17th-22). Seitensad!
BUT…my good Canadian friend Jessica Gardner will be!

You may know her online as @jgrdnr. She has recently moved to Berlin and scored a few invites to Fashion Week. I’ve asked her to give me us the low down on Germany’s most stylish city. She’ll be posting later this week from Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week. Mercedes does NY, Berlin & Miami shows! Yeow!
Please say HI to Jessica in the comments or on Twitter and give her a warm welcome to your favourite blog.
Sie ist ein total babe!
Ich liebe dich <3 CASIE
I want a change. Something that integrates these four so called blogs that make up “my life” that really, are ALL part of “THIS IS MY LIFE“. I included FB because timeline looks & feels kinda like a blog to me now. Twitter and Facebook have recently changed their UI (‘user interface’ for non-nerds means the design, layout jazz) and mine has mostly remained the same since it was born.
We’re coming up on seven years this spring and I think my baby is deserving of a makeover. These are all the ‘blogs’ I update on the daily, Tumblr, Posterous, Twitter, Facebook, WordPress. I think Facebook is the prettiest.

I’d love to know what blog designs you really like, fav blogs? Ideas, things you might love to see here? Ultimately, I’m gonna come up with some creative & fun way to spice things up for 2012. I’m ready for adventure!
Ok, now I must prep for being back on stage in ballet shoes for The Nutcracker! I hope Mum brings me flowers! Ok no I don’t

Lozzie and I are on stage callin’ numbers for bad kids Rebel Bingo with James Flames tonight….kinda like this:
You should probably get a ticket. If you miss it, well, you’re probably not that cool anyways. Check Lauren’s bloggy for more secret details. Tickets here.

In other sexy, rebel news, the Youtube takeover went live today for the Durex Savvy Lover campaign AND the documentary features Raymi! Nice work to all the peeps behind the campaign! I worked with Brand Momentum as a copywriter for Durex earlier this year and some of my topics included ‘Turning your walk of shame into a stride of pride” and ‘manscaping’. Super fun stuff to write about!
Get some freaky Friday tips from four of Durex’s ‘sexperts’ on the Durex FB here. The FB app uses Pinpoint Social, Daniel’s company, fancy huh?!
And finally, the most beauty marriage ad I’ve seen that, yes, brought tears to my eyes. (MUM, BOB, don’t get any ideas about ME! Just watch it!) It really IS time. Thanks to Andrew Stewart, my digital brother for sharing. Can’t wait till his wedding one day. ♥
Off to the postie to pick up a package then to mee Lau in Kensington, then to rehearsal. I hope it’s shoes or the camera I’ve been waiting for!

I don’t go without a scarf in the winter. I can’t stand the feeling of being cold. The scarf department at my house is a drawer overflowing with heaps of shapes & colours.
It’s tiring to see everyone wearing the ‘euro’ when there are so many ways to wear a scarf well. Check out this awesome video by LA fashion blogger Wendy Nguyen “25 Ways to Wear a Scarf in 4.5 Min“. Her post on behind the scenes & making the video is pretty rad too.

On Saturday Sammy’s footy team, the High Park Demons, are playing the OAFL finals and I’m wondering if you wanna come? Check out the team! Babes.
They’re also having an afterparty at South of Temperance Saturday night and you’re welcome to come celebrate (or console) the boys after a long day of good ol’ Australian Rules Football. Deets on FB right here!
LMK if you wanna join the fun!

Last year was SO much fun. I loved ALL the girls. A bunch of them I still see. Met some totally awesome guys too. Had an absolute blast.

For all you people at or not at at Bud Camp.
P.S. Colin if you see this call me.
