Last week I had the pleasure of stopping by the Roots store on Bloor to hang in the lovely Dougals Coupland room and taste Proof  Brand Wisky for the first time.

Catering was tasty, there was a really babilicious Brazillion server boy and music was pretty good too.  I never got his pic, damn. They had a variety of cocktails to test out and the whisky gets two thumbs up from me. The bottle is really cute, has a  stylish design and is only $19.95 for the 500ml. Perfect for a quiet winter night at home. (Joking. Not joking. )

I met the creator, a former LCBO employee who gave me the dirt on the brand. They’ve got a rum and vodka launching in the next year. I really like the way the bottle looks. I reckon the trio of whisky, vodka, rum would make a nice set for bottle service either at home or a resto.

You know I’m not a huge sports fan so when I heard Jonathan Roy was performing I wasn’t too sure who he was. Turns out, he’s a babe and his Dad, Patrick Roy is a pretty big deal in the world of hockey.

This guy was bringing sweaty back.

I saw Jonathan on my way out and told him I didn’t know who his Dad was and I’m not much of a sports fan but he did a good job. He said that was actually good, I mentioned my blog and we snapped a pic. Don’t we look cute together? Sweet thang asked if I had one of his CD’s and ran upstairs to grab one for me. Thanks JONO.

New frilly flower dress was a total hit. Must be kinda cafeul on windy days though, it’s a panty flasher.

Ran into one of my most fav MTV empoyees evahhhhh, the lovely Miss Sheena from MTV Live. We had a very passionate embrace as you can see. She picked me right up like a wee doll. ILU SHEENA.

Met this other hot babe too, Lindsay Unwin, no relation to the Unwin from Much I used to work with. She’s a little hottie too.

So glad Fall is here. Currently wearing a pashmina and hat. FTW! It’s accessory season and mama likes!! Today is Labour Day, I’m happily home working on a couple things for clients. New blog design is in progress too.  Big ‘tings comin’ I tells ya.

Happy Monday internet friends. The Air SHow just started and MAD loud jets are flying past my condo! weeeee.

I am so excited. However, I am sure that does not surprise you.  Haven’t had a weekend away with a bunch of girls in years. We’re staying at the Mountain Springs Resort (with the bands I believe), have a driver, back stage passes, media all access, Zeugari swimwear, and more good stuff we don’t even know about yet. Holyshitballs. This could be trouble.

Patio hang @ 99′s Patio with Raymbo last night. So good to chill just the two of us and talk shit about awesomeness and stuff. She had a brills idea to see if we could score tickets to Second City with our combined fame. I called, it worked. Two tickets – RAYMI/CASEY. Thanks manager guy!

We saw this show. It was kinda funny. I’m not that great art shows you have to keep quiet the whole time. I like to laugh and talk. I remember last time I went I got in trouble. This time, I became part of the show for yelling out ‘internet’. You’re welcome for the great material.

Couple dudes sent us drinks from across the bar. Thanks for supporting alcoholism dudes! We might be gettin’ decked out in some golf gear in the near future. Stay tuned for that hotness.

Last night was epic. EPIC. Such an awesome time with the girls. I love Emily Haines so hard, we all do. It was me, Jenie, Michelle, Grace and Jess (we are all on the twitter).

Hanging out with my sister is the most fun. We are so positive, happy & energetic together, I get super charged. Look out.

Ain’t nothin’ gonna break my stride, nobody’s gonna slow me down, oh-no, I got to keep on moving.

I have so many great photos from the night. Heaps. The sun setting over the water and the pink sky were the perfect back drop to the music and atmosphere.

The place was packed but we hardly noticed anyone else because we were laughing and having so much fun. One dude tried to make friends with us, but we were not having it, he was Snooki’s type. We also saw a couple guidos who really loved Emily and knew the lyrics to every song.

All our seats were scattered in different sections but we didn’t go to them once. Instead, we parked our camp on the lawn and danced and sang and threw our arms in the air and screamed. The lawn is really the best place to be. You can relax and lean back or dance in circles.

I love that feeling, the one when you hear the music live and the lights shine on the crowd and they reach out and touch your face and you scream. It melts my popsicle.

Michelle = babe. She has a fashion blog and she’s got the wicked style. My phone desktop image matches her leopard onesie, that’s why she is posing with phone.

Jenie is too cute. Heart melt sandwich.

Ater we went to the afterparty @  Parts + Labour for a private Holy Fuck show. It was hipster heaven, like everyone died & went to American Apparel.

Today I’m sailing to the island with Michael. It’s just to beautiful to not make to most of the day. Y’know? You shoud do something awesome today too. Then tell me about it. We can share awesomes.

The other day at lunch, I went to the park. I got my first summer street meat and sat in the grass. It was warm and sunny and it felt like heaven. I laid down in the grass and looked up at the sky and dreamed of far away places. It was the first day of wearing bare legs too. I love summer. I love summer. I love summer. Did I tell you I loved summer and park hangs? Cause I do.

I feel like my blog here, my daily diary is missing my attention. I like to update is early in the day and the last couple weeks I’ve been so busy. See, the thing is, tumblr is so immediate and all about pictures and frequent updates and twitter is instant and short and wordpress takes longer for me to publish. It’s amazing how the world of blogging has changed since I started. My blog began on myspace with poetry in 2005, blogger in 2006 as casiestewart.blogspot.com, 2007 with a redirected and URL as casiestewart.com. In May 2009 I moved to fully hosted on wordpress. Moving to wordpress allowed me to have more control over the layout and design as well as widgets and plugins I wanted to add.

Since I’ve been using posterous and tumblr, I feel like they’re all extensions of this blog, they’re all part of my life on the internet. Posterous is tech related things and nerdy stuff, updated almost daily. Tumblr is pretty girls and inspiring things from around the web updated daily. Twitter is everything in between! Oh god, I love the internet.

Tomorrow night we’re having a wee meet & greet with Dan & Jessi from The Aftershow, pizza, watching The City and then seeing a live taping of the After Show.

2007 – wasn’t really that organized or posting that often, started working in IT, learned to love the internet more, was doing freelance PR, lived in the East End

2008 – posting regularily , dark hair, started borderline artistic, signed up for twitter, partying often, living Queen West

2009 – doing it daily, loving it, drawing, tweeting, doing charity stuff, got a job doing what i love, moved to a condo by the water

2010 – who knows that the future holds!

This is my outfit today, feeling kinda Mickey Mouse. Screen printed this dress with my name on it last year, found it in the mounting clothes closet and decided to let it come out and play.

Have an after work date with My City Lives to film some of the awesome stuff around my hood from MuchMusic to condo city by the water. There’s lots a neat stuff in that little 1.4 KM (thanks to the Cardio Trainer on my phone I know just how far it is).

Somebody tossed this sign up yesterday and I bet it’s JUST the beginning. The G20 is just around the corner from my place at the MTCC.  It’s the same weekend as PRIDE and there’s so many security things they need to take care of. Gonna be nuts in my hood when this thing happens. All these world leaders kickin’ it and heaps of raging homo + lezbo’s showing their love for life. Sounds like a fun time if ya ask me. Haha.

Well I’m not at the “guru” or as I call it “casie stewart” level yet.

But funny story; I was at a Charity event a few weeks ago. This girl comes up to me and wants to take a picture of me and the people I was with for her blog.

I jokingly tell her “I don’t do blogs” which kind of takes her a back.

I tell her I was just joking and that I actually have a good friend who writes a blog and has been very successful with it.

She says that’s great and that hers is very new as she is a student at George Brown or Humber or something. I can’t remember.

So she asks me who I know in the blog space. I stupidly say “you wouldn’t know her; but her name is Casie Stewart”

Girl freaks out. Can’t believe I know Casie Stewart. Literally freaks out talking about how she follows you on twitter and how you are the voice of Much and MTV and how she loves your style.

Funniest thing I’ve ever seen. So then she asks me if she sent you a note and said she met me would you talk to her???? Can you believe it??? What are you like the Lady GaGa of bloggers??

I almost died. Anyway I thought it was a funny story that would make you laugh.

This has been a really busy week. Feeling more Gah Gah than GaGa. I’m usually busy, but  seriously, this week has me totally tuckered. Go-go-go non-stop. Everyday. Mama’s tired.

Quite looking forward to hibernating over the weekend. Writing, relaxing,  finishing up KC’s book. Feeling like it’s new sketchbook day.  Have these awesome neon pastels and whole new set of other colours that want me to play with them. I think it’s time.

Lisa posted this pic of her, Breanna and I in her post today. So cute! We went to get our dresses fitted all together late week. That in itself, was almost as fun as wearing them to the ball.

Happy Friday peeps!

Oh hi. It’s me Casie. In case you ever wondered, my blog, This is My Life, started out as a way to keep more memories one  sunny April day in 2006. This b-b-baby has been a best friend, therapy, and a great platform for me to get closer to the dreams I’ve always had. I love it dearly.

Tomorrow evening I’m doing a seminar about blogging with some people I’ve met and been inspired by over the last little while. You may not know them, the same way you know me, so I’m introducing you. There’s still a couple tickets left so go get one here and come meet me & them IRL.

I met Carly last year through the internet, then IRL at a music thingy. Along with being cute and a good friend, she’s really talented. She is a Talent Agent representing principal actors in film, TV and voice.  In Jan 2010, her agency,  Fairlie Agency launched the New Media division and the Toronto Blog Stars group.   Carly has over 15 years experience in the entertainment industry, both on camera and behind the scenes. You’ll get to meet her if coming on Thursday.

You may know Raymi from her blog or me mentioning her  (if you don’t, I’m a little surprised). She’s been blogging since 2000 and was the first daily blogger I knew; She was cool and from Toronto like me. I immediately added her as a friend on Facebook based on this alone. About a year later, we met IRL. She writes about her life and gives you a really close view of it. She became famous on the internet by blogging and has a unique style that’s won her heaps of awards.  Her videos also get heaps of attention ex:

I met Sean Ward when Notable TV & SmoJoe named the Top TO Bloggers last year. It was really cool to be connected to people that do the same kinda thing as you, yet so differently. I didn’t really know other bloggers at the time. Sean writes an online comic called Sean Ward Super Party. He’s a great illustrator.  He’s made a rap video and released an album.

I wanted to fill you in a bit so when you show up you know more than just me.  Look forward to seeing familiar faces, but most of all, I look forward to meets IRL.

It’s really interesting to me because I always knew I wanted to be recognized for doing something well, I never knew what it was (duh, obvs cause it was like 20 years ago before blogging) but I knew it was out there.

I’ve got lots to learn as media & the internet are changing public relations. I love the internet and learning about new ways to explore it.

Been crazy busy this week dudes. I love blogging and get all anxious when I don’t update. All is good. Magazine mini launch on Monday and Kelly Cutrone is coming to MTV. So excited, Gang of Bloggers coming and media too.Phone light keeps going off and driving me nuts, message waiting.

Wore a cute outfit today. Been dressing more fun and fashiony (than a cold day) now the weather has warmed. I’m judging a dress design contest for Peach Berserk coming up (scroll down) and a music contest thingy tonight (they said it’s Idol like?) . Need more time in the day. Stoked for the rain, I hope it rains all weekend and I stay home the whole time with my computer (Robert) my gadgets and Moovboots in case I need to go out. Like this video. Love her.

One of my vintage fav’s. I’ve been babysitting it for Natalie for years, it didn’t fit her at the time but she couldn’t bear to part with, so I’ve been taking good care of it. Really good care by taking it out and dancing with it and showing it off on the internet. hehe

BTW speaking of style, calling BLOGGERS who like fashion for an @mtvcanada event or two. I can’t tell you just what it is yet but GOOD. I’m excited (gonna blog it too), stoked to be able to invite cool peeps like YOU.
