pure med spa: britesmile = bright smile
Last week I was invited by Pure Med Spa to try BriteSmile. It was simple and painless and took just over an hour.
There’s five locations in Toronto offering the service, I went to the Younge & Davisville. If you’re not in TO they’ve got locations across North America so you’re in luck.
I have sensitive teeth and a chip in one which was extra sensitive during the process. Other than that, it was a-ok. The next day my teeth were slightly sensitive to hot and cold but not painful.
UPDATE: Been gets lots a comments about how PMS (Pure med Spa haha) is a SCAM. There’s been a heap of comments and I didn’t know. Good thing I didn’t pay for mine I guess. They never messaged me back after I posted either!
You should know a few things about this company before you give them your endorsement.
Pure Med aka Britesmile is a SCAM. PureMed filed bankruptcy in 2009 and Britesmile bought them in a firesale. Now Britesmile is also going out of business and are pushing “sell, sell, sell” despite full knowledge they are vacating their locations b/c they can’t pay rent or their employees. But don’t take my word for it–the internet is inundated w/ consumer complaints and reports from consumer agencies about their crooked business practices.
I doled out $200 in 12/09 for a gift card at the Atlanta / Phipps Plaza location. When my fiancee went back 3 wks later the place was empty, w/ no contact info, nothing. I’ve called four different numbers for local and corporate offices, and all are either busy or disconnected. My emails to the “client service” addresses on sites for Both Britesmile and PureMed bounced back as invalid.
I’m looking to join what will surely be a class action lawsuit. If anyone wants to join, email me at ArthurYorkATL@hotmail.com

It actually came in super handy here in NYC – because of the storm, the lights went out for a little bit, and we were able to keep playing “go fish” thanks to the light shining from her new mouth part of her face.
I have an ace.
Great stuff!
I have always worried about getting my teeth professionally whitened, was nervous. I can actually see a real difference in those pictures.
Whats in New York? !!!

Is Young St different than Yonge St?
They are different! Thanks for pointing it out. I’ve changed it!
This spa is the most disorganized ridiculous place that I have ever experienced in my life. All of the Pure spas in Chicago are apparently going bankrupt and not only are they not paying their employees, they have no one answering their phones and they also are basically not honoring the thousands of dollars that I have invested in treatment that I still have not received. I would NOT recommend doing anything with this company, their employees have told me that Pure medspa is going bankrupt!!!
Ha! Maybe that's why they asked a blogger like me to come in and get a free treatment? Thanks for the tip!
My experience with Bright Smile has been a disaster. I can be flexible one time with proper notification for any cancellations. But three times, give me a break! I had to change around my schedule and my wife’s to postpone meetings to accommodate last minute changes to cancellations made by the Brite Smile Brite Skin at Palo Alto. The last time they canceled they had San Francisco call me to give me the news. A business with no etiquette is a business I do not affiliate with.
oh god. that's so ANNOYING!
Chicago office is awful. I would not recommend spending one dime there
You suck. Do you have no consideration for others who this rip off place is taking advantage of??

Just beware they don't up and disappear before you use all your treatments. The one in Temecula just closed their doors and no one knows how to go about transferring. Beware?
Thanks for the advice Gina. Luckily mine was a one shot deal!

BE Very CAREful with this company
I paid over 500.00 $ for hair removal and the company closed without starting my treatment. They will not let you know.
oh thanks for the info. i got mine done for free on lunch one day so i'm a-ok
BUYERS BEWARE!! Don't let the NEW name fool you. Now Pure Med Spa, aka Brite Smile, is called Pinnacle Med Spa. Supposedly Pure went bankrupt & was bought out by an investment group from Canada. Guess who owns it, a “silent partner”- JEFF NOURSE. As his side kick, partner in crime, Louise Talbot, would say “no worries!” There are warrents out for their arrest. hang in there, they did the crime & they WILL do the time!!
I don't know if its just me but your teeth do look whiter… how much whiter can they get? I just paid $350 at my dentist and got the same 'looking' results
i agree and when i had my teeth done twice in Canada they were the whitest since i was 20 yrs old and i'm 61 now…just started looking for them and they're gone…
If you are serious about a class action lawsuit I am in – Britesmile Brite Skin took a ton of my money I had saved for 2 years. I emailed Arthur, I hope he is serious.

New info Jeff Nourse is hired as sales consultant to Pinnacle MedSpa that was originally Pure MedSpa. His new cell phone # (416) 543-7201.
Excellent! Great article, I already saved it to my favourite,
Does anyone have a picture of jeff nourse? Post pictures so we can see what this guy looks like. Thanks for the phone number but I want to meet him face to face.. so I can see him cry
I was also treated unfairly by Pure Med Spa. I started a blog about my experience:

The following represents my opinion of what happened to britesmiles. It may not be true so just consider this a hypothesis that fits my observations while working for them. Jeff NOURSE and Louise TALBOT previously were executives of Pure Med Spa which was bankrupted through mis management and fraud. They were squeezed out by other parties. The 2 lonely execs took up roost with Britesmiles… another company near bankruptcy.
They made an offer on PURE MED SPA when it was in bankruptcy and obtained control of the company again ( thanks to the diligent trustee) and set about converting them to britesmiles brand name. They had to pay the 25 million dollar sale price some how, probably on a payment plan using sales revenue. They then looked for investors but no one wants to deal with known scumbags so they hatched a plan. They picked the best locations and set about remodelling them using money obtained by selling services they never intended to deliver. General Growth properties evicted them so they had to relocate a few stores. Money got tighter due to the unplanned relocations and they had to stop paying employees and vendors but the kept dumping as much money as they could into the locations they wanted to keep and of course Renew Beauty Med Spa in Dallas Texas ( Louise Talbots personal store) was also paid for with sales revenue from Britesmiles or BSML, INC. These locations in Chicago Washington and Oregon were sold to Altima Dental Group of Toronto with Jeff and Louise as silent partners. The stores were renamed Pinnacle Med spas and continued to operate. They recently changed names again and are now called Ibody Medspas. Apparently Jeff NOURSE works for Ibody as a sales consultant.
Britesmile was forced into bankruptcy by unpaid vendors who will recover nothing. Louise operates her salon http://renewbeautymedspa.com/ and Jeff operates Ibody. http://www.ibodymedspas.com/.
All paid for with the sales made to customers at too good to be true prices. They knew they would never deliver the services when they were selling you these products in 2009.
Here is my personal opinion of these two.
They are train wrecks. Beware of JEFF NOURSE and LOUISE TALBOT. They are pathological liars and cheats. The worst kind of lowlife. who will take your money and burn, scar and maim you, with their low quality service.
